beauty how-to: REESE WITHERSPOON, met gala 2014

Hey elfettes! We loved all of the amazing fashion that walked the Met Gala carpet this year and thought Reese looked so fabulous. Her classic look works on any age and skin tone, so give it a try! A bold lip never fails to impress at a special event, so check out the details here...

STEP 1: Our model Kemery had some redness in her skin, so to start off we used a tone adjusting primer to reduce that and even out her complexion.

STEP 2: Apply your foundation evenly over the skin and correct any imbalance in color. Kemery's skin was perfect for the Studio Mattifying Foundation compact and Small Stipple Brush.

STEP 3: Using the Eye Contour Brush, we applied the Studio Cream Eyeliner in copper over the lid and blended it out into the crease. Using this eyeliner as a shadow will help you get Reese's semi-smoky but satin finished eye.

STEP 4: Don't forget to give your brows some love! Reese's brows have been filled slightly darker than her hair color, which goes really well with her hair color. Kemery has on our e.l.f. Studio Eyebrow Kit in medium.

STEP 5 & 6: Add some blush and bronzer to your cheeks in a pink/peach shade to give your skin a flushed look. We used the Contouring Blush and Bronzing Cream and applied with the fingers to allow the color to mix well with the foundation. Highlight your cheekbones and nose with the Baked Highlighter in moonlight pearls, with a fluffy brush like the Complexion Brush. Using a larger brush will allow for more glow that is diffused instead of targeted in certain areas.

STEP 7: The best part about this look is the lips! Try the e.l.f. Studio Lip Stain to get this pop of color!

STEP 8: Finish of the look with a little flutter in your lash by applying the Eye Enhancing Mascara
