Funky Chunky

One of my favorite fashion trends in recent years is the look of layered, chunky necklaces.  There are so many reasons I love these necklaces. They provide so much dimension and interest to any outfit.  They can be a great accent to a plunging neckline.  And a simple jeans and t-shirt can really pop with a funky, chunky necklace.

Having had kids in the last three years, I went through a period where I felt frustrated about wearing jewelry because as we all know nothing says, “grab me” to a baby like a shiny necklace.  The chunky necklace has helped turn that around.  Several of the necklaces I’ve purchased are very sturdy and can hold up to an inquisitive baby and toddler.

One of my top favorite stores for funky, chunky accessories is Charming Charlie.   They’ve got a great line of beautiful, affordable necklaces and accessories in every shade of the rainbow.  For example, this little beauty they’ve got for their spring line.  If you can find a Charming Charlie in your area, I’d highly recommend checking them out.  You won’t be disappointed.

Another great resource for inexpensive jewelry is Forever 21. If you don’t have one in your area, you can order from their website.  A great way to spend an evening is to browse their website.  Or if you are like me, you’ve been snowed in for so many days you need something new to check out.  So check out something chic like this Netted Gems Necklace.  How great would this necklace look with some bright spring colors?

So what do you think of the chunky necklace phenomenon?  Got a great place you love to shop for these goodies?  Ok, dish.
