I recently attended a MUAH party at bloggy friend of mines home. What is a MUAH party you asked?MUAH stands for Make Up At Home. It is a party that e.l.f. Cosmetics and SheSpeaks have been running with bloggers so that their friends can learn more about e.l.f. products as well as educate themselves about proper makeup techniques.
I Recently Attended a MUAH Party
I already LOVE e.l.f. products. I was sold on my first try with some lip gloss I had received. But I learned a TON at this party, and had a lot of fun too.
What did I learn? Did you know that PINK is NOT the color for me for my lips? I couldn't believe it! For years I have been wearing the same color pink lipstick and NO ONE told me it was the WRONG color for me. Thank goodness for my friends who are not afraid to tell me the truth. But now I am wondering what else I am doing wrong?! At the MUAH party, I tried (hesitantly tried) a brownish cocoa color lipstick. I am very pale and I thought to myself, this is gonna look horrible, like I ate a Hershey bar and it melted all over my mouth. But It was great! It really made my lips pop! Also, I learned that I shouldn't be afraid to "explore" more when it comes to my make-up. There was a bright dazzling green creamy eye shadow there that I loved, but I would never think to even try or buy it. At the suggestion of my friend Kim (@craftymamaof4), I tried this green creamy eyeshadow and low and behold, IT ROCKED! I was so pleased and everyone was giving me compliments on how much it too made my eyes pop!
By the end of the night, I was a makeup warrior. Trying all kinds of new things. Now I love e.l.f.make- up even more and will definitely be doing some more "exploring" with colors.
The only downfall to the whole party was after we were all dolled up with makeup we had no where to go show it off!! Although, it DID make me feel good when I came home and my daughter said, "Mommy, you look like a beautiful princess" and my hubby said, "you have make up on". Well, At least he noticed! lol
