Oscar Makeup Trends

I loved watching the Oscars!  The trends where beautiful strapless dresses in this seasons popular red, silver and plum shades.  In regards to makeup, the winning looks were flawless faces with red and nude lips and smoldering smoky eyes!  Here’s how to get the look…
-To get Sandra Bullock or Ann Hathaway’s bold red lips first apply a Lip Primer (e.l.f. Lip Primer & Plumper) to keep color staying on all night.  Then with a Lip Brush (e.l.f. Lip Brush) apply a Lip Stain (e.l.f. Lip Stain in Red Carpet) to lips making sure to trace the lips perfectly for clean lines.
-For Smoky Eyes like Jennifer Lawrence and Halle Berry begin by applying an Eyelid Primer (e.l.f. Eyelid Primer) to help set in eyeshadow for creaseless long lasting color.  Then apply an Eyeliner Pencil (e.l.f. Mineral Eye Liner) all around the eye and smudge in and line the bottom waterline for an enhanced look.  Then apply a light highlighter eyeshadow to  the brow bone to create lift followed by a mid tone shade all over the lid and finish with a deep color on the outer corner and blend for that smoky look!
-For that Hollywood nude lip like Reese Witherspoon and Michelle Williams begin by conditioning the lips with a lip balm (e.l.f. Lip Balm SPF 15) for hydrated lips.  Next apply a lipstick (e.l.f. Mineral Lipstick in Natural Nymph) all over lips in a pink tinted nude for a natural look.  Finish by applying a coat of a soft shine Lip Gloss (e.l.f Mineral Lip Gloss in Au Naturale) all over lips for that polished look.
