However when I Saturate a cotton pad and place it on my eye, it really irritates my eye and becomes extremely itchy, burning, and red. This will last over night to even when I wake up in the morning. I am not sure if I got a bottle of the old formula, but it really hurts. I have tried other micellar cleansing waters and have not had this experience at all. It worked, but it is not worth it. It does not burn as much if I don't put as much product on the cotton pad, but then it doesn't get all my eye make up off.
Date published: 2017-02-09

Rated 5 out of 5 by JennDice from Gentle and Alcohol Free! I purchased this recently, so I never tried the old formula that seems to have contained alcohol. So I cannot compare them. I can tell you that I love the current formula! I find that it does remove my makeup well. It also leaves my skin feeling smooth and hydrated, but not greasy. After using it with a 100% cotton pad, I used a clean pad to check for makeup residue. At 47, I use more makeup than I used to. It was all gone! The foundation and concealer, the contour around the hairline was all gone. I personally use eye makeup remover for mascara, but I feel mascara needs to be rinsed. The micellar water does not need rinsing. You can rinse it, but then it won't hydrate much, will it? If I try it on mascara I'll update.I'm afraid of saying so, but it is a great value. I appreciate that elf cosmetics team, but don't think I won't look for an alternative if you bump up the price!I have never gotten any in my eyes, but I would expect it to sting. It is a cleanser after all. It is, however, so gentle that I use it before bed when I'm not wearing makeup, to hydrate. I have sensitive combination skin. This leaves it hydrated, but not oily. Miraculous! Best of luck to all, and thank you E.L.F.,JCP
Date published: 2017-02-09

Rated 5 out of 5 by DrHLW76 from This has replaced my high end grape water! I am surprised by some of the reviews. I love this product. It has replaced my Claudalie grape water. I find the E.L.F. Version to be much more hydrating. I apply it after cleansing, and exfoliating. Then I add my moisturizer, oils, and primer. It keeps my skin looking fresh all day. I did transfer it to a misting bottle, so I could use it over my makeup too.
Date published: 2017-02-08

Rated 5 out of 5 by YazminR from Amazing!! I've been using it for a week now and it's amazing! Recently ELF sent me a bottle of their reformulated micellar water to try and I am so glad that they did. This new formula is great and does not irritate my eyes at all. It smells really nice and leaves your skin feeling hydrated and not dried out whatsoever. Great job ELF, so glad that you listen to your customers and go out of your way to ensure that we are satisfied. I wish more companies were concerned with their customers satisfaction. I absolutely love ELF and always have, of course I'm a huge makeup lover and purchase from so many different companies but ELF remains my favorite. Their products are great quality and cost friendly. I'm so glad that they are opening stand alone stores, I was recently at the Glendale Galleria store and I was like a little kid in a candy store....loved it ;o)
Date published: 2016-12-17

Rated 1 out of 5 by Fiona007 from Don't use in your eyes! I decided to pick this up because I loved other brands micellar waters in the past, especially for removing my eye makeup. My eyes were irritated for the rest of the day, so I never made that mistake again.I have salvaged this purchase somewhat and have been using it as a toner.
