Clay Eyeshadow Palette is rated 3.7 out of 5 by 94.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from A little boring, but a very nice go-to palette I got the Necessary Nudes for free when I redeemed my points (yay for elfcosmetics.com!), and I was really excited to have this in my growing cosmetics collection, since I tend to look more for the bright, flashy colors. Having something more neutral was definitely needed. So, I love the size of this, and I love that e.l.f. always gives good mirrors. I also like that the plastic protector tells what everything is for, but I wonder why the highlight color is the largest (unless they think you'll use it for a face highlight too?), and the all over color is not. I think they should have switched those two. The quality of these is quite good. They swatch well and apply fairly well with a brush or fingertip (or sponge tip if you prefer). They also blend quite well without blending away. The two shimmers look similar in the pan, but they aren't. The lighter one is more of a nude shimmer, and the other is a sort of green-toned brass color. It's really lovely, but I don't really see the point of having two shimmers that are in the same general family. Then again, I'll use them, and enjoy them. I probably will never use all 5 of these colors in the same look, although I WILL (and do) use all the colors). I would certainly be interested in getting the other colors of this product. It's a nice on-the-go, compact size suitable for travel and for every-day.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from No applicators? What is the irritating ingredient? I am a bit surprised. I was traveling and had to use Qtips. I don't like brushes and prefer the foam applicators that are usually included. Worse, I specifically chose ELF as it has no carmine dye and oddly, my eyelids were swollen halfway shut when I woke up. I had noticed a little itching during the day but saw no hives. I washed it off nonetheless. I don't know what to think about this product now. Otherwise, I was happy with it. The darker colors were nicely pigmented but the lighter frosty shades were too translucent. So, ELF, is there carmine dye in your products? Your labels say no but my eyes say yes.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Thumbs down - Saturday Sunsets Saturday sunsets I wish I'd paid more attention to the reviews. This is the worst eyeshadow palette I've ever tried by elf. There's no pigment, it's patchy, I couldn't get the color on my lids and I couldn't get it to stay on no matter what I did- tried with primer & with a wet brush & I felt like I was fighting with it. It's my 1st review of something so bad that I wouldn't even give it away. I'm disappointed because elf is my favorite brand & I pretty much use it exclusively. *PLEASE* fix the formula - the colors are so pretty!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful Palette! I love this nude palette! Absolutely a must have! All the colors are great alone or with building. This has a nice creamy texture and goes on very smooth, I did not have any trouble with fall out. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is based on the average price of the rest of the wonderful Elf products, I do think this palette is a little over priced. But compared to other brands it is great quality for still less cost!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Light pigments Not the deepest pigments, but not horrible either. Definitely buildable, light enough for a subtle smokey eye/every day use. The purple colours are great with my Hazel-green eyes. And the added touch of sparkle gives a bit of pizazz even though the colours are lighter. Would not recommend if you are looking for a Deep Pigment Pallet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Colors and Longlasting I love this little palette. The colors are perfect with my green eyes and they last well. I will be buying more.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do NOT buy this. I don’t usually run into Elf products I don’t like, but this is the WORST eye shadow I’ve ever used. I got this with a promo code for cashing in rewards points, and I’m so glad I did not spend $6 on it. I have the shade Saturday Sunsets, and the pigmentation is so terrible it’s honestly laughable. 4 shades appear to be matte shades in texture with glitter thrown in (??) and one is a shimmer (the gold one). The shimmer shade is actually quite nice, but not nice enough to keep me from throwing this away! Fail.

I love the highlighter! It has a set shimmer without turning harsh. Is there a name for it, and can I buy in singles? Thank you

Can you make more products without talc please.....?

Asked by: Jayh
Queen Kiya is right, it is the loose version that could possibly be a problem. I did not use talc on my baby but I personally will not go with out my shower to shower, which I have used for quite some time. Talc is not a concern if you're not using it as you would use feminine products. This is compact so I don't think there is nothing to worry about.

I love the colors in these palettes, but why did you add the ingredient PTFE? I don't cook with Teflon, why put it on my eyes? This is an unnecessary and unwanted ingredient. Why use it?

Asked by: PTFE
From what info i have gathered, this ingredient is used to fill in lines (it's also an ingredient used in facial fillers and FDA approved) a skin conditioner, and slip of the shadows, aka buttery texture and blendability.

How large are these palettes? Are they as large as highlighter and contour palettes?

Asked by: Andkat
They are smaller than those palettes. Too small in fact.

Are two of the shades the same?

Asked by: Lexsunshine
The necessary nudes colors are lighter than they appear and yes two of the colors are almost the same. I didn't really get why.

Are these metallic or matte finish?

Asked by: Tucsondawn
Its kinda tricky to see but it looks like 2 of the shades in each palette have a matte finish.
