Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does not budge I bought this (in Brownie Points) and it works beautifully. Once on it stays all day and does not smear or fade.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Last All Day. As a new teacher, I am happy that I found a product that will stay on my oily eyes all day (15 hours and counting at this point) and fits into my budget. The pigment is very light but beautiful. I wear minimal makeup, and this offers a subtle wash of color.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Ehh.. Ehhh..it’s okay it’s very hard to work with because it’s really stiff and not very pigment. But I do like that it dries and is not sticky. It also lasts

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this product! This product is excellent for the price. It has great pigmentation and it applies very smoothly. The only thing is that if you put too much on it starts getting a bit chunky looking.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Caught off Gaurd I ordered this smudge pot (Back to Basics) at the same time I ordered Mac’s Paint Pot (Soft Ochre). When I put it on I was a bit shocked that it looked like a shimmer shadow. I was disappointed but still continued with my routine. It did stay put and not crease. But the shimmer in it did interfere with my shadow. I rarely wear shimmers, glitters or even highlight shades on my eyes. But anyway, it worked. Just be aware that it is more like a crime shimmer shadow.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from We'll see how it lasts... The color (cruisin chic) isn't like the picture, but I expected that based on reviews. It's a medium warm taupe with gold glitter. I like the color, but I don't know how long the shadow will stay good in the pot. The container is small and compact, but made of *very* cheap plastic and didn't come with an airtight seal. The product itself isn't fantastic, but it definitely works for me, and was only $3.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Applies Nicely, Stays Put, Doesn't Crease I bought these in a few different colors and every single one of them stays put once dry. They dry quickly enough that you don't have to wait a long time, but slowly enough that you have enough time to work with it once you've had some practice. This doesn't crease and it is not liquidy in any way. It is VERY soft kind of like a room temperature butter substitute, but personally I think that makes it easier to apply. Highly pigmented and beautiful colors. I do personally have some trouble applying it to where it looks nice, but I'm also somewhat of a beginner with eyeshadow so I'm sure 99.9% of that is user error and inexperience because it blends very nicely. I think I just need to find the right tools to use to apply it accurately.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Long Lasting I have this is "Ain't that Sweet?". It is a light color and goes on alright. It is long lasting and it was hard for me to get off.

I have very fair skin and green eyes. I am looking for a smudge Pot that will be close to my skin tone. I got Crusin' Chic but it's too dark. Would back to basics work?

Asked by: DesiLouK
I have fair skin and green eyes too. Cruisin Chic is my go-to, but I apply it where my eyelashes start and then gently blend it up to my brow bone. I use only my fingertips and then don't use any other colors on my eyes. By doing it this way you can reduce how heavy the color is. Super simple if you are on the go and just need a little something to spruce up your eyes. Follow with eyeliner and mascara.

PLEASE come up with a matte set of these! I would have 2 of each one in my makeup drawer ALL the time.  It is really hard to find good creme matte eyeshadows.  I love the matte colors as I am 48 and we aren't 'supposed' to wear shimmer or glittery >.<

Stace64 - It's not a rule that was made up. As we age our eyelids become thinner, causing wrinkles, even there! Shimmer/frosted makeup accentuates the wrinkles (the lids wil look "crepey") - anywhere on the face. If your lids are still looking good, rock the sparkle!

Which color smudge pot would you recommend matching with Ain't that Sweet?  I'm thinking Wine Not.....but will Hit the Town work?

Asked by: BrooklynMariposa
hit the town must have been discontinued. but i definetly think "wine not"would look great with "aint that sweet". i also think if u want to go with a light glowy/pastel look, you could also try " gotta glow" :)

I have been wanting to get the Pearls of Wisdom color for months now, but I can't find it in any store and it has been out of stock online for months. Do you know when that color will finally be in stock online again?

are these similar to mayballine color tattoos and Macs paint pots?

Asked by: swimgirl13
Yes. These  guys have been compared by a youtuber Kathleenlights who has reviews on MANY e.l.f. products also. Personally have only tried the Maybelline.

Could these also be used as an eyeshadow base for pressed powder eyeshadows? or is it too creamy of a formula?

Asked by: westcoast21
These could totally work for an eyeshadow base. It is a creamy formula that quickly dries and doesn't budge.
