Smudge Pot Cream Eyeshadow is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 423.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great with drawbacks. I love the way this looks on. I hate the container because it must be applied with a finger for best results, and you end up with it under your fingernails, even short ones. It also has a very short life expectancy and dries up a long time before it's used up, no matter how tight you keep it capped.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Worth $3 Good color payoff and lasts all day without creasing. Not super easy to apply or blend with other shadows. Overall its just alright. I probably wouldnt buy again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super Easy to Use As a mom I needed an eyeshadow I could easily apply while on the go. This fits the bill. I can apply it with my finger (med. sized hands) or with a brush depending on the situation. It sets quickly, but once set it lasts all day. I have this in Cruisin' Chic. I've been looking for the white shade for ages. It works great as a single wash of color or as part of an overall look.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing primer!!! The ELF smudge pot is The ONLY cream based eyeshadow I've found that if placed in the corner of my eyes as a primer for my powder shadow never comes off during the day. I haven't been able to locate it at the stores and I'm almost out...please don't discontinue this product it needs promoted as an awesome many women have trouble keeping their shadow in place in the corners of their eyes, this stops that problem. No matter what happens to the powder shadow, the cream base of the smudge pot doesn't rub off, so you always look like your eyeshadow is in place!!! I've gotten a lot of compliments on this...just wanted ELF to know...

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not true to color I bought Brownie Points a while ago and it was way darker than was shown on the site, more of a dark chocolate, way off shade. I saw that they put it in the sale and thought I would give it one more chance and bought Crusin' Chic. It was also way off color. I can understand now why it's on sale. Crusin' Chic was the color I expected Brownie Points to be. In the photo it looks like it's a lighter pink/purple shade, in reality it's actually what I expected Brownie Points to be. This is the only E.L.F product I've ever been disappointed in.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stays in Place + Good quality For a cream eye shadow, I love this product! It stays in place (with no eye shadow primer), it has saturated colors, and the one that I have has lasted over 4 months with no drying out in the pot. I would recommend this under powder eye shadow or on it's own. I apply it with a small brush, then blend out in the crease with a fluffy brush with some matching powder. It then blends beautifully into the highlighter that I put on my brow bone. It lasts for the whole day (up to 12 hours in my experience). I feel confident wearing it to work and in front of clients and customers for a touch-up-free look. I have used a lot of cream eye shadows, and this is a really great one!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for anytime I bought this to use as an eyeshadow when I am short on time, and I am so glad I did! I love this product! It is easy to apply and stays on all day! Not only does it look amazing alone, but you can use it with other eyeshawdows as well and it is easy to blend. The only reason I am giving the product 4 stars is because while I do love the color, the product does not look like the picture only

PLEASE come up with a matte set of these! I would have 2 of each one in my makeup drawer ALL the time.  It is really hard to find good creme matte eyeshadows.  I love the matte colors as I am 48 and we aren't 'supposed' to wear shimmer or glittery >.<

Stace64 - It's not a rule that was made up. As we age our eyelids become thinner, causing wrinkles, even there! Shimmer/frosted makeup accentuates the wrinkles (the lids wil look "crepey") - anywhere on the face. If your lids are still looking good, rock the sparkle!

Which color smudge pot would you recommend matching with Ain't that Sweet?  I'm thinking Wine Not.....but will Hit the Town work?

Asked by: BrooklynMariposa
hit the town must have been discontinued. but i definetly think "wine not"would look great with "aint that sweet". i also think if u want to go with a light glowy/pastel look, you could also try " gotta glow" :)

I have very fair skin and green eyes. I am looking for a smudge Pot that will be close to my skin tone. I got Crusin' Chic but it's too dark. Would back to basics work?

are these similar to mayballine color tattoos and Macs paint pots?

Asked by: swimgirl13
Yes. These  guys have been compared by a youtuber Kathleenlights who has reviews on MANY e.l.f. products also. Personally have only tried the Maybelline.

Could these also be used as an eyeshadow base for pressed powder eyeshadows? or is it too creamy of a formula?

Asked by: westcoast21
These could totally work for an eyeshadow base. It is a creamy formula that quickly dries and doesn't budge.
