Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good brush I bought this brush a little while ago, and was very pleased. Brush is very soft and blends foundation nicely. Only problem is the amount of bristles that come out of the brush after washing it. It does get very annoying, especially when they fell out while i was applying makeup.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing blender Looking at the pictures I didn't think this brush would be soft or effective, but as soon as it touched my face I literally wanted two more brushes. I can't stand sponges and this was so great at blending and applying foundation. Highly recommend this!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Blends foundation perfect I purchased this brush when I was looking for a new foundation brush. I saw someone using a brush similar to this but a higher end brand. Payed $6 for this and I am so pleased , I will be purchasing another one. It blends foundation out so well and leave a flawless finished looked. Highly satisfied with this brush.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great brush for anything! this brush is great for everything; liquid and powder. I have used this brush for blush, bronzer, and foundation. just make sure you wash your brush or buy 2 if you're going to switch it between foundation and bronzer/blush.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Brush I really love this brush. It blends my foundation really well. The only problem is that it started shedding after I washed it. I’ve gone through 3 of these brushes and they have all shed . I will continue purchasing thought since it’s only $6

I am wanting to purchase brush to blend in my contour (main target is cream contour) idk if i should get this brush or the elf selfie ready foundation brush, I have heard good reviews about both, any suggestions?

Asked by: mesha
I'd go for the contour brush instead. This brush and the other are not very stiff and might take a little more effort to blend out product with.

Which do you recommend for liquid foundation (Elf's Acne Fighting Foundation)? Elf's Ultimate Blending Brush, or Elf's Stipple Brush? Thank you.

Asked by: Makeupbeaut
It will depend on the coverage you want to achieve. The blending brushes like this one will provide a more full coverage while a stippling brush is meant for light coverage. Of course you can build it up, but honestly it's just easier to do the same thing with the blending brush as it is bigger (and also because of the techniques which are more often used with brushes like this of buffing/patting/bouncing, etc., versus that of a stippling brush where one usually stipples or applies in feathery short strokes) and takes less time. If you're trying to decide which one of these two types of brushes would be less abrasive/gentler, I would still personally choose a blending type like this one. Because blending brushes like this are densely packed and synthetic, they tend to be softer on the skin and since it is much bigger, it covers more skin with less need to go over areas as much as you would with a stippling brush. Stippling brushes are usually soft too but because it's small and one usually works in stippling motions, it has a much higher potential of irritating your skin, or even over-exfoliating some areas. I like the elf stippling brush for cream contouring, but it is stiffer and not as soft as others I have used before. I believe any synthetic sense kabuki type brush is the best way to go for foundation brushes overall. Side note: the less densely packed a kabuki brush is, the less full coverage application it will give in one shot. :)
