Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointing I should have listened to the other reviewers. Tube came looking almost empty and dried out. When I applied it it was dry and crumbly and I could not get it to smooth out well. I love the color, I just wish it had the same consistency as the matte eyeshadow I got free (and love). Fix the consistency issues and this stuff would be amazing.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed I don't know if I just got a bad item but this was awful. It will not come out on the application as if it's dried up in the tube. I was looking forward to this product but it's not even able to be used.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Pretty shimmer but dried out Nearly half of product is dried out. Of what I can scoop out, it has a decent shimmer.. but it’s hard to tell if this product will perform being that the texture of some of this is already dried out.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I wish... Beautifully pigmented cream eyeshadow that doesn't crease. Ive worn this shadow for over 12hrs and it still looks great. Unfortunately, I have sensitive skin and had to stop using it after a week of consist use.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Nice color but.... I didn’t get to try this product because it arrived completely dried out!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I tried to make it work! I love e.l.f., I really do. And my bank statement can attest to that fact. But this one is an absolute dud for me. First of all, I took a picture as soon as I got it out of the box, before even opening it up. Do you notice what's wrong with this picture? It's most certainly NOT like e.l.f.'s stock photo of the product. at first glance, it was no more than 3/2 full. But there's more! Once I opened it up, I realized first of all, this is absolutely NOT liquid. At least mine isn't. I don't know if it dried out and that's why it's not full, or what, but if so, e.l.f., you need to get on your Q.A. game! I've heard too often of this sort of thing happening to your products, and I've gotten a couple of other products that seemed to be very low or old (or both). Anyhow, the next picture is what happened when I actually compacted the existing product down to the bottom. It's closer to 1/4 full! seriously. The texture does change from a sort of creamy powder to a decent cream consistency, but then after you get the first bit off the applicator, it's really REALLY hard to get more product to stick to the doe-foot. I just don't understand how this got past them. Am I the only one having this problem? So then I used it anyhow, because let's face it, the color is bomb! The third photo here is at the end of about 5 hours of wear. I used primer at this point, but didn't set with anything on top. You can see it's worn off really badly and is chunky and creasy. I have heavily hooded eyes, so if yours aren't like mine, it might not do the same to you. So today I decided to try again, because I am no quitter. SO I did a nice eye look over the e.l.f. eye primer, with the Mad for Matte eyeshadow palette in Nude Mood, which I also got in this order, and again put the "liquid" rose gold shimmery color over the top, just covering the lid below the crease. This time I set it with a bit of e.l.f. loose setting powder. The last photo is 2 hours after application. The base colors are still in place (I've never really had a problem with e.l.f. eye colors until this one, despite heavily hooded eyes, oily skin, and living in the tropics). But that topper color is creased all over the place! I'm going home at lunch just to change my eye look! haha I hope this was just an unfortunate anomaly, but I'm afraid it's not. I haven't really read the other reviews on this product, so I don't know if others have had the same problem. On the plus side, I got this on one of the crazy year-end sales and paid $1.28 for it, so I'm not even mad. But where most of my less-than-favorable reviews end with "I'll use it up anyhow, because I paid for it," or something along those lines, this one is a no-go. I might see if I know someone with non-hooded eyes who wants to try it. My recommendation is get the No Budge Shadow Stick in the Rose Gold instead. Same price, and I got one in Blue Steel in the same order, lined my eyes with it, and after 10 hours, and true-to-it's-name, it hadn't budged! So I still love you, e.l.f.!

That product is no longer in stock on the elf website, sorry. Elf phased out the smudge pots with the last big sale they had back in May/June 2017. I just checked and both Target & Ulta have them in stock.

Does this crease on the lids? And does it dry to a powder finish or does it feel tacky?

Asked by: Bargainshopermom
It doesn't really dry without setting it. I use the Elf baked highlighter to keep the shimmer, but you can use anything.

can this be used as highlight on the cheeks?

Asked by: Valeria96
Yes, but you're best off buying ELF's $3 highlighter in Moonlight Pearl. The Rose Gold and Liquid Gold are no different from applying Moonlight Pearl highlighter until your cheeks.

Are these safe to use on your lips?

Asked by: EllieB
They should be since this brand of makeup is usually safe to put anywhere on the face. So the answer is yes probably

Would this work on lips?

Asked by: mad25
I tried Rose Gold on the lips and it didn't look great personally, perhaps with a base colour it may look better. Hope this helps!
