Rated 5 out of 5 by Molly16548651 from Tiny face, bad at contouring- this brush saved me! If you're not experienced at contouring this makes it pretty fool proof. I use this to apply the e.l.f cream contour (from the palette) and it blends so nicely. The shape lends itself to pretty fool-proof placement, too. I sometimes see other reviewers complaining about bristles falling out, especially after cleaning their brushes. I haven't experienced any of those issues and I've washed this brush a number of times. I get it damp, gently "washboard" it along my fingers with a drop of hand soap, rinse extremely well (this takes forever to rinse out!), then gently swirl it on a fluffy towel to get rid of the excess moisture. I then let it air dry hanging off my towel rack with the bristles pointing downward (I fix it to the towel rack using a rubberband). This contour brush beats my MAC contouring brush by a long shot in the "ease of use" department and is a fraction of the price. I actually get more shedding from my MAC brushes.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Beck27 from Better options This brush didn’t pick up a lot of color and didn’t blend well. Overall, I know there are better options

Rated 5 out of 5 by cheapskate from Why pay more? I love this brush! It's soft but still firm enough to contour with. I use it for my highlighter and my bronzer. Don't know what I did without it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by hashtagidec from Love this brush! Although I haven't had this brush to long, I already love it. It blends my foundation so nicely. Although it is a bit smaller that I anticipated, I really like how it glides over my face and is super soft.

Rated 3 out of 5 by MoMo_21 from I think this brush is really good for a cream contor. But the brush is made very poorly, and the quality is very cheap. It sheds really badly especially when you wash it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Alyssa Marie from Love It I've been using this brush for a couple months now. I love that the top is flat because it helps me really carve out my cheekbones. I can see why some people could have a hard time blending with it, but I always contour before I powder my face so that solves the blending issue.

Rated 3 out of 5 by klangdon from I found this brush to be pretty good besides the fact the brush hairs are too short which makes blending make-up a bit more difficalt, but other then that there wasnt anything specail about the brush in particular.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Val19 from I had just bought my first cream contour palette and was very excited to use with my new contour brush. The first time I used it the hairs of the brush began to fall out. I thought oh maybe I'm pushing too hard, nope because every time I have used this brush at least 20 hairs will fall out in clusters. I do not recommend this brush to anyone.

Is this brush available in stores anywhere? I know Target sells ELF products but I don't believe that Target carries all of the brushes, (I think this because I have also been wanting the ELF fan brush and have never seen it in stores.)
I found some Elf products at Walgreens as well

Is this brush also good for highlighting?
I do use this brush for highlighting, and love it. However, I completely understand where the other answer above is coming from too. When I highlight with this, I strictly use powder products, and am highlighting in the literal/basic sense that you might also use a lighter concealer for(which I do under THIS step I'm speaking of) . Just press this brush intimate the pan of the desired highlight shade and use like a "full coverage press-type" brush. Last thing is..I've found it easiest using pressed powders.

What's the difference between this brush and the Contouring Kabuki Brush (both from ELF)? Which would be easier for beginners of contouring to use?
Using a small tapered brush may be easier for you if you're a beginner. This brush would be easier than the contouring Kabuki brush but it's dense so might deposit too much color until you get good with it. Going for a less dense tapered brush that is small may work best for you then blend the lines with a denser brush.
