Alternative
Works well. It's a great alternative to the higher priced eye brighteners. I cantcbelieve elf keeps coming in like this and they manage to make such good products at a low price.

Pale Dry Skin w/Dark blue veins around eyes
Oof. I’ve been trying to make this work for two days straight. I have the shade Light/Medium, as the fair/pink shade was sold out but I usually use peach toned correctors around my eyes because of my pale olive skin and dark blue veins and shadows. I’ve used the higher end correctors as well as other drugstore ones and I can honestly say this one is a hard fail. The corrector bunched up with/without eye primer and the pills were falling onto my cheeks and clinging to my nose, the pigmentation was patchy and too sheer and streaky to correct anything on my eyes, to get any sort of corrective effect with my concealer afterwards I had to apply so much around my eyes that I could see texture from the product. I prefer a K-Beauty brand corrector and the other viral corrector with a sponge tip (shade: neutralizer). This one was just oily, added and exaggerated texture, and with concealer it made a strange patchy appearance where it was placed vs just concealer. I LOVE the concept and tons of other elf products but this one just wasn’t it for me.

Pros Are Really High; Cons Are Really Low
I was hoping that this product would be similar to the Becca undereye brightener (RIP) or---for those of you who are GenX or older---the Ultima 2 undereye brightener (the goat, the absolute best, to this very day nothing compares). Let's talk about the pros first: the product warms up and emulsifies nicely if you use your fingers to grab it and then rub it between your fingers (it's a stuffer, thicker texture; gotta warm it up), it does offer prime color correction---I used the fair shade on my undereye area, and it did an *incredible* job of canceling out my dark circles (thank you, Serbian genetics!), and you get a good amount for what you pay. As far as pros...that's about it. Now for the cons: I mentioned the product emulsifies nicely between your fingers. It does. However, this product did NOT blend out easily...or really at all. It was so strange. I used my fingers, a sponge, and a brush. The best application WAS with my fingers, gently tapping it under my eyes---the warmth and oils from my fingers obviously helped. Sponge application was absolutely awful, and I tried both a damp as well as a dry sponge (product just stuck to the sponge; damp worked slightly better). Brush application was so-so; used a small synthetic brush. Was patchy and really hard to move the product around. At first grab, the product feels emollient, but that gets lost in translation. Once you start applying, the product seems to stiffen back up, which is so odd. Another thing that was odd was even though the product never seemed to soften up, it stayed kind of stiff, it STILL collected in my creases after a couple hours! Tried my best to tap out the creases when this happened, but the product just stayed kind of bunchy and chunky. Before applying, I made sure my skin was properly cleansed, exfoliated, and moisturized/prepped. I tried using some different skincare products than usual and less than what I normally apply (my skin is 'combination'---undereye gets a bit dry). I just COULD NOT get this product to work for me. Definitely avoid if you have dry undereyes. Don't apply with anything but your fingers. The less you pick up, the better it'll apply. Don't manipulate it TOO much or for TOO long ir you're going to have problems. Honestly, if you're in need of brightening and/or color correcting, I'd say go with elf's color corrector in a tube and mix some with their Hydrating Camo Concealer. THAT is a winning combo.

For My Daily Routine
Not much is needed for covering my dark circles. It lasts all day and if I did want to touch up, it's super easy to add a few dabs.

I lowkey use it as concealer
I have never found such a good shade match to my skin before as this in the fair shade. Maybe it's cuz i have pink undertones but i think its so funny that this 8$ eye brightener is what works. Its also a good product though for its intended use lol

Great coverage and Color Correction
This product is amazing for covering up dark circles. I would recommend using a setting spray and/or powder after application, as it can sweat away throughout the day.

Does it work as eyeshadow primer? Do you have a better option? Thanks!

This product is much too sticky to use as an eyeshadow primer. It can settle into creases and even exaggerate them. It's also too shiny. ELF has an actual eyeshadow primer that works quite well.

Your shade could be either Fair or Light/Medium. You may want to live chat with a beauty advisor for more personalized assistance on the product page or use the Try on Feature. Keep in mind that you can use a Concealer on top of this product so it does not have to be a perfect match.
