Rated 1 out of 5 by from Rip Off This used to come in a much bigger container for the same price...now you get half of what you used to get for the same price...rip off. Will be looking for something to replace this. Not happy with E.L.F. anymore...never have anything in stock. Not nearly the options you used to have in colors and products.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect, besides the flashback I bought the sheer powder a while ago and have loved it! I apply it after sunscreen, but before foundation/concealer because my sunscreen is a bit greasy over my already oily skin. The powder keeps my skin from looking shiny, even as I get oily throughout the day. I usually don't wear makeup at night, so the flashback isn't too much of a problem for me. I have an olive skin tone and the sheer works great for me!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Packaging change is awful I've been using this product for a couple years, and loving it...just received my new powder and the change in packaging makes this a throw away I'll never use. Sad.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Must Have I use this after the foundation and before my setting powder. It keeps my makeup looking fresher all day.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from FLASHBACK Its a really nicely textured powder and can be easily brushed off, doesnt leave clumps or cakeyness. Definately requires reapplication even on heavy use. my main issue REALLY BAD PHOTO FLASHBACK. Cannot be use in conjunction with flash photography especially if used for baking or all you can see is white powder on the face no matter how much buffing

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOOVEEEE ITTTT I love this powder. It's so lite and finely milled that it does the job perfectly. I love that it's slightly pinkish cause it will even out any yellow correcting or yellow-toned makeup if i get into the wrong bottle. (I'm a goon). Anyway, it's not for under-eye baking cause it might cake a tee tiny bit. Other than that; perfect.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Maybe I'm using it wrong I have light to medium olive skin tone and I tried using a lot and then a little with both the brush it came with and an elf kabuki brush at the beginning of the day when there was very little oil and at the end of the day when there was lots of oil both times it immediately left my skin looking flaky and way too dry and pale. Definitely not the "radiant complexion" it claims to do on the box.

I am a medium brown mixed race lady, and I adore silica powders for their blurring and matifying properties. I do press into the t zone with my beauty blender - but lightly! Then dust around the rest of my face with a brush. Don't be heavy handed, a light dusting is all you need believe me. I use then use a real techniques setting brush to dust the powder under my eyes, around my nose crevices and on my oily eyelids too. This gets rid of any shine, but leaves the skin so smooth. I do my eyebrows, eyeshadow/liner afterwards, and this powder helps them to stay put. I find as the oils come through that they look natural, no tinted powder sitting in pores, no oxidisation and no changing foundation/concealer colour at all.

Say I put on BB cream and I look extra oily. Can using this product help get rid of the oily looking skin?

I have used this product for quite some time. I like the feel of my face and that it seems to absorb oil.  The problem is the glitter in the product. I’m not 15 and I don’t want the glitter. The sheer is so white that I don’t look healthy.

We suggest that you apply this sparingly and blend very well in a circular motion for all shades, and to avoid flashback (white), if you choose the Sheer shade.

What is the recommended way of setting the powder? I heard there's flashback but if you use it right there will not be any, so how would you apply this properly?

We suggest that you apply sparingly in a circular motion with a powder or kabuki brush and blend well.

Does this powder cause flashback? I've been looking for an affordable powder that doesn't and I'm hoping this is the one.

Asked by: mads060
When applied correctly and blended, this will not cause flashback.

When I use this product it flakes. I've used it over foundation and on bare skin, I applied it with the buff that comes with it, with a kabuki brush and I'm stunned at all the peeling and flakes I have to brush off my face. What's going on?

Asked by: aednyc
If you are using foundation or mousterizer that is oil based that would cause it to ball up.  Or if you use a setting spray before putting it on
