Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty nice I bought this a couple of months ago as a first-time primer user. Since I have no other experiences with primers, I don't necessarily have anything else to compare it to. However I was able to pick out some features of this primer that I liked and could get improvements in. Some positives: nice consistency-it felt nice on my face, wasn't too thick, clear- in the photo the product looks white but it is indeed a creamy clear, easy to pump out/spread- again, this might go along with consistency. Some Negatives: amount- I'm not sure how much is in this container compared to the large container, and I'm also not sure how long a primer is supposed to last, but I used it consecutively for about a month and a half before I had to take it apart and salvage it for that extra product. That being said, it's about $48 a year on primer alone. Not that bad, but depends on your budget. The next negative is the hydration. My skin is mostly dry, and when it grabs the moisture it turns greasy in some noticeable areas like the sides of my nose, and my forehead. This primer did not help me with skin hydration if I used it alone. I noticed that my skin started to peel after only a couple of hours. I would definitely recommend to put on a *strong* moisturizer before putting this on, (but of course it all depends on your skin type).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty good hydratation It's winter, I live in Canada, so it's cold and my face was dry like the Sahara. I couldn't use their "Prime and stay finishing powder" because it looked weird and obvious that my face was dry. I bought it on Walmart, among other products, and I'm pretty happy with it. In less than 1 week, my face was normal again and I was happy with it. The only thing that bugs me about this is the oily and greasy finish on my hands after use, and the price, which is kinda high. But it's still great! And I have less acne breakout now :)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Amazing Product This product is a very nice product to bring on hand with you or use as an everyday primer. The only thing about this is that you really need to work it into the skin, at first it may feel a little greasy, but once you blend it and work it into the skin, it will give you a dewy and moisturizing feel to your skin, that will lay your foundation and face makeup beautifully!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Reduces wrinkles with liqued foundation I have tried many primers to work with my liquid foundation and my 60 year old wrinkles. This Foundation does not allow any creases to show whatsoever. For the price I believe I'll continue using this as long as they make it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from gave me a rash :/ i don’t recommend this product for those with sensitive skin. it also makes your face feel oily for hours and literally just looks and feels like wax.

Will this clog my pores? Is it ok for people with acne prone skin?

Asked by: McCallMargaret
No, it shouldn't clog your pores unless you're sensitive to dimethicone (silicone), but the majority are not. Worth a try. :) It is okay for acne prone skin - again, unless you find you have a specific sensitivity to dimethicone (silicone).

How many ounces? I'm trying to find where the size is, in ounces, and don't see it (on this and other products). Where is this listed?

Asked by: charisma1312
0.37 FL oz, it says on this page, in the product description /details. However, it isn't listed on the bottle.

Why aren't the size of the bottles for primers and other items listed anywhere? Am I missing this info? I did read one review that showed the size smaller than .37 and at this cost makes it expensive.

Asked by: myroses
Yes, 0.37 FL oz is correct. The volume is indicated in the product description/ details.

Is this primer silicon based? Thanks!

Asked by: Kat2233
Yes, it is. It contains dimethicone, among other things. Most if not all of ELF's primers contain some sort of silicone.

How do i determine a shade for the primer?

Asked by: judy22
It's transparent on the skin. The hydrating primer on comes in one "color" but it goes on clear. They also do have color correcting primer to correct for redness or sallow skin (they look green and lavender, respectively.).

How much is in the bottle? I heard that only the silver part is filled but not the rest of the bottle? How man uses does it last for?

Asked by: nabii23
It has 0.47 FL oz or 14ml. You don't need much per use. With daily use, it probably would last a least 3-4 wks depending on how much you like to apply.
