Hydrating Face Primer- Small is rated 3.6 out of 5 by 284.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great primer Out of three other elf primers i have tried, this is the best. It doesn't have a strong odor and it feels so silky on the face and fingers. I love this primer, however, it does seem to make the foundation on top a little streaky if you have too much on the oily areas of your face because the foundation doesn't want to stay in place...just beware of that. I wouldn't recommend this to people with oily skin because of my previous sentence. Overall i love this (it also doesn't irritate my sensitive skin) and i will continue to buy it!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It’s pretty good I bought this about 1 week ago and it’s not bad! It’s super creamy and applies smoothly. The only thing that makes it 4 stars is that it’s kinda oily which is abnormal.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Pimple town! I have breakout prone skin, so i breakout if the makeup is bad. This is a long review in depth reveiw. I heard that elf primers were good, so i hoped for the best, but was not expecting anything crazy. The first time i tried this, i got a few pimples here and there after use, but i still wanted to give this a fair chance. So i few weeks have passed without wearing makeup, then i tried it again. This time only on the lower half of my face. Guess what! 2 days later my chin now has 2 small normal pimples (i can live with), and 2 BIG, SORE and DIGUSTING pimples that you can feel under the skin, they are red and FREAKING ANNOYING!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Primer! I was hesitant to try this primer because I have oily skin, but it works great for me. The texture makes my skin feel so smooth and makes my foundation application flawless. It doesn't get shiny/oily looking throughout the day which was my biggest concern!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointing I loved this the first few times I used it. I have dry skin, and it did a great job prepping my skin for foundation. It lasted all day and I was really happy with it. After less than a month though, it got a funny smell and started to make me break out. I returned it. :(

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not hydrating at all This product is perfect for creasing as it is a more silicone based texture than anything else. Since it has a more silicone feel to it this primer is less likely to hydrate the skin. The reason why is because compared to an actual hyrdating facial primer it should feel smooth, refreshing on the skin, and actaully moisturizing (like most lotions or moistruziers) but this primer is way too thick, has the feel of oil on the skin, and does't hydrate my face at all. Instead, it feels like an oily thick layer of candle wax on my face. I would switch this out with e.l.f's Hydrating Balm stick that one is really good at hydrating the skin and really helps with the lack of moisture. I give this 2 stars because, again, perfect for creasing but not for hydrating.

Will this clog my pores? Is it ok for people with acne prone skin?

Asked by: McCallMargaret
No, it shouldn't clog your pores unless you're sensitive to dimethicone (silicone), but the majority are not. Worth a try. :) It is okay for acne prone skin - again, unless you find you have a specific sensitivity to dimethicone (silicone).

How many ounces? I'm trying to find where the size is, in ounces, and don't see it (on this and other products). Where is this listed?

Asked by: charisma1312
0.37 FL oz, it says on this page, in the product description /details. However, it isn't listed on the bottle.

Why aren't the size of the bottles for primers and other items listed anywhere? Am I missing this info? I did read one review that showed the size smaller than .37 and at this cost makes it expensive.

Asked by: myroses
Yes, 0.37 FL oz is correct. The volume is indicated in the product description/ details.

Is this primer silicon based? Thanks!

Asked by: Kat2233
Yes, it is. It contains dimethicone, among other things. Most if not all of ELF's primers contain some sort of silicone.

How do i determine a shade for the primer?

Asked by: judy22
It's transparent on the skin. The hydrating primer on comes in one "color" but it goes on clear. They also do have color correcting primer to correct for redness or sallow skin (they look green and lavender, respectively.).

How much is in the bottle? I heard that only the silver part is filled but not the rest of the bottle? How man uses does it last for?

Asked by: nabii23
It has 0.47 FL oz or 14ml. You don't need much per use. With daily use, it probably would last a least 3-4 wks depending on how much you like to apply.
