SKINCARE TREATMENTS & SERUMS:
Take your skincare routine to the next level with the best facial treatments, from toners and serums to masks, peels, and more.
What are facial treatments and serums?
Facial serums and skin treatments are vital for any skincare routine. They contain high concentrations of active ingredients, they’re lightweight and they penetrate more deeply into the skin than heavier creams and lotions. There are serums for a wide variety of skin care concerns. For example, our Blemish Breakthrough Triple Acid Resurfacing Serum treats blemish-prone skin; the Vitamin C Serum evens skin tone and prevents premature aging and the Hydrating Face Serum soothes, protects and locks in moisture.
Serums are applied all over the face, neck and chest. If you need a more targeted treatment, you can supplement your serum of choice with a facial treatment. There are targeted treatments for acne, such as a acne fighting spot gel.
When should I apply a serum?
Serums should always be part of your daily skin routine. Remember that skin treatments are highly concentrated, so you only need a pea-sized application. Begin by cleansing and toning your skin thoroughly. Then dispense a pea-sized amount of product onto your fingertips or onto the palm of your hands. Rub your hands or fingertips together to distribute the facial serum evenly, then gently press into your face, neck and chest until it’s absorbed into your skin. Do not rub or swipe at your face. Finish with your favorite moisturizer.
When should I apply a facial treatment?
A treatment, such as a spot gel or booster, can easily be incorporated into your skincare routine. Start by cleansing and toning your skin with products that are formulated for your skin type—acne-prone, oily, combination, dry, etc. Apply your facial serum, followed by a spot treatment and finishing with moisturizer. If you’re using booster drops, you can apply them directly onto your skin and press them in with your fingertips or add a few drops to your moisturizer or to your cream or liquid foundation.
