Additional Information

Ultimate Blending Brush is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 362.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Blending Brush EVER! I am obsessed with this brush! It feels as soft as my expensive high end brushes. It blends every type of makeup flawlessly but my favorite product to use with it is cream bronzer. It blends so quickly and beautifully. It's the perfect size to blend bronzer on the cheeks, forehead, and jawline. My only complaint is when I wash this brush it feels like the handle is going to come unglued from the bristles.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great brush until you wash it This brush is as good as the Real Teqniques expert face brush. The problem appear when you wash it. Then the brush keep losing hair.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great foundation brush! i bought this because of thataylaa ngl, but it is becoming one of my favorite foundation brushes! it is not too stiff and has the perfect amount of give to the bristles for blending out any kind of foundation or other product. i haven't washed it yet so i can't say if it can hold up through a few shampoos, but it hasn't shedded yet so it should be good!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Blends everything! This is the only blending brush I’ve ever owned & it’s the best! Perfect for blending out concealer, color correcting concealers, setting powder and (I use a beauty blender first then follow with this brush) liquid foundation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect brush! Got this brush awhile ago and it is great! For a cheap brush it's well made. It's actually one of my favorites and it doesn't shed! Definitely recommend this brush

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unbelievable! Product does not seep into and collect on this brush. The bristles impart a flawless finish with just a small bit of foundation. No shedding. I am a believer!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing This brush is so good for blending out foundation. It's my go-to brush. It's nice and dense and makes applying foundation so quick and easy. I've had this brush for almost a year now and it's still going strong. I will say however that in the last few weeks, it's started to shed but like I said, it's lasted almost a year and it's only $6!

I am wanting to purchase brush to blend in my contour (main target is cream contour) idk if i should get this brush or the elf selfie ready foundation brush, I have heard good reviews about both, any suggestions?

Asked by: mesha
I'd go for the contour brush instead. This brush and the other are not very stiff and might take a little more effort to blend out product with.

Which do you recommend for liquid foundation (Elf's Acne Fighting Foundation)? Elf's Ultimate Blending Brush, or Elf's Stipple Brush? Thank you.

Asked by: Makeupbeaut
It will depend on the coverage you want to achieve. The blending brushes like this one will provide a more full coverage while a stippling brush is meant for light coverage. Of course you can build it up, but honestly it's just easier to do the same thing with the blending brush as it is bigger (and also because of the techniques which are more often used with brushes like this of buffing/patting/bouncing, etc., versus that of a stippling brush where one usually stipples or applies in feathery short strokes) and takes less time. If you're trying to decide which one of these two types of brushes would be less abrasive/gentler, I would still personally choose a blending type like this one. Because blending brushes like this are densely packed and synthetic, they tend to be softer on the skin and since it is much bigger, it covers more skin with less need to go over areas as much as you would with a stippling brush. Stippling brushes are usually soft too but because it's small and one usually works in stippling motions, it has a much higher potential of irritating your skin, or even over-exfoliating some areas. I like the elf stippling brush for cream contouring, but it is stiffer and not as soft as others I have used before. I believe any synthetic sense kabuki type brush is the best way to go for foundation brushes overall. Side note: the less densely packed a kabuki brush is, the less full coverage application it will give in one shot. :)
