WATER ACTIVATED
So I want to help clear things up. This is definitely a palette you have to be willing to work with. I was about to throw this away, when I saw some people claiming that you have to add water/ a medium to make the shadows work. I tried this out with a 'c' shaped packing brush, and a lot of these shades worked really really well.The darker shades don't really work in my opinion/ they're bland. The lighter shades are my favorite/ really pretty though. Overall I really liked 7/10 of the shadows after trying this technique. I would also recommend using a spoolie to scrape of the top layer of each shadow.

No Pigment
I recently purchased this at Target on clearance, (California palette) I thought it was a steal because Elf eyeshadows typically have a huge payoff in terms of their price point. Girl was I disappointed!!! Dry brush, wet brush, finger swatching, and after being frustrated I even scraped the top layer off some colors praying that would help but NO....this eyeshadow does not have any pigment or any payoff whatsoever. Eye primer also did not make a big difference with the outcome. Do not waste your money. They need to work on their formula.

So much work
I got this as a free gift with purchase. Even for baked eyeshadows this palette is so much work! Even after you wet your brush, the color payoff is minimal, and the colors themselves are just average. The colors dry down on your lid sort of uncomfortably. If you're someone with really oily eyelids, I can see this being an interesting-ish buy, but even then, I'd honestly suggest to just save your money and buy a normal palette instead.

not worth your time
Beautiful colours in the pallet but has absolutely no pigment and is extremely hard to work with. I used a bunch of different brushes to try and apply these shadows and got nothing.

This is the worst product I have ordered from elf. Unfortunately I didn't like it , there is no pigmentation(. Even cheaper products have much better and richer colors.

Really??
My Impression when I first opened the pallet up was how beautiful the colors were. I swiped my finger across and nothing, so I tried the other colored. When they saw baked they mean well done. I read the reviews and tried water. Boy did I have to really press down on the shadow. Pretty much ruined the new applicators I bout from Elf. Not really sure if I have the time to waste with this. Very disappointed!!

No. Just no.
I cannot stress enough how terrible this product is. Literally nothing comes off on the brush or a finger when you try use this product. It’s literally a waste of plastic, money, effort, time, your sanity. It is 100% trash.

SMOOTH SAILING
I bought this because I love Elf and loved the colors. my daughter in law was going to do pregnant pictures and the colors went good on her. She was beautiful and the eye shadow lasted great and didn't wear off. Went on smooth as could be. I took it home when we were threw with it lol. It is mine and I love it. I will be getting more.

beautiful but hard to use
Great colors, but even with wetting the brush, it's hard to get the shadow to pick up. I don't want to have to chisel into the powders, but I may have to.

I have tried to apply some of these shades to my lid and it doesn't really seem to appear pigmented. Why is this the case? Do I need to do anything special?

It is because some brushes work well on baked eyeshadows and some do not. I discovered that the Brand called "Crown Brushes" work well for me. Also baked eyeshadows work well when you wet your brush. You just have to play around with diff types of brushes using water to wet the brushes or setting spray, i use both depending on how i want my eyeshadow to look and how long. I really love baked eyeshadows. They last a long time & i can adjust the intensity of how i want to look.

I truly love these baked eyeshadows. I can have some shimmer in a professional setting and still look professional. I use this in the Toast daily. But I would like to know, are your products, or any of the ingredients, tested on animals?
