Additional Information

Baked Eyeshadow Palette is rated 2.5 out of 5 by 41.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Avoid the baked eyeshadows I got this palette in "California" as a free gift with purchase (and honestly it was the only reason I made the purchase in the first place because I wanted the palette and thought the deal was too good to pass up). I was really excited when I opened the palette because it looked exactly like the picture but was disappointed when I tried to use it because I couldn't get any of the shadow onto the brush. I had never used a baked eyeshadow before so after doing research I learned the best method is to use it in combination with a makeup setting spray (which meant I had to buy a setting spray). I wetted the brush swirled it and applied the shadow which did not give great pigment or shimmer pay off. So, I applied more spray and swirled even more aggressively which resulted in better color payoff, but was still not as rich as I was expecting even with a primer. The dome shape of the shadows also meant that once the powder was actually loose, any excess would spread over the palette and become messy. I like other elf shadows, just not these ones.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Must wet brush Frustrating to read others reviews. You need to wet your brush a little and paint these eyeshadows on. If you do this the pigment is brilliant and very long lasting. Very beautiful. It would be helpful if the packaging let buyers know you must wet your brush. They are like watercolors.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from No color payoff I will never buy another baked eyeshadow from elf cosmetics because you get NO color payoff when using it. I tried several brushes and my fingers but nothing helped. The other eyeshadow palettes by elf are so much better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wet it I'm reading these reviews saying these shadows are not pigmented... you need to wet them. I think they are very pigmented wet. I really like them.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I love the colors I love the colors, but it is difficult to pick up, you have to scrap it to get ti loose before you can pick it up. I also wish that the colors were labeled, e.g: grey, bronze, natural etc.

I have tried to apply some of these shades to my lid and it doesn't really seem to appear pigmented. Why is this the case? Do I need to do anything special?

Everyone is saying to wet your brush and/or the shadow itself

I truly love these baked eyeshadows. I can have some shimmer in a professional setting and still look professional. I use this in the Toast daily. But I would like to know, are your products, or any of the ingredients, tested on animals?

Asked by: Jinxie
Please note that none of our products are tested on animals.

People have said to wet the brush to get more pigment out of the baked eye shadows but, at the risk of sounding stupid, what are you supposed to wet your brush with? Water? I don't know what I'm doing

Asked by: ihaveosgd
wet a q-tip with water and rub it on the shadow round then apply
