Brightens a dull complexion like a boss
I ordered this product thinking I'd give it a try since I've been very happy with just about every single e.l.f. purchase thus far. It arrived neatly packaged and in a very attractive container which is important to those of us who like nicely packaged products. It's a good amount of product for the price! Prior to use, I thoroughly cleansed my face (with items from my e.l.f. skincare line!) and applied it to freshly moisturized skin. The directions suggest patting it into your skin but I took it a little further and applied a relatively generous amount just to see what would happen if I went overboard. The product kind of has a pat on quality to it BUT you really benefit from additional product so you can smooth it evenly over the surface. The results were wonderful! The cream brightener didn't overpower my complexion (and I'm very fair), rather it added the natural "internal glow from within" that the product promised. I wasn't plastic looking nor was I reflecting every light around me so rest assured you won't look too glittery or have that odd hue that results from some illuminator products. When you're my age (mid-forties) the sun and wind and life in general has had time to take its toll on your skin but this product seemed to help restore a glow that was lacking. After smoothing the cream over my entire face, I pulled it downwards onto my neck and décolleté to complete the healthy glow look. I can see this product being used under foundation, on top of foundation to highlight and as a stand alone product after moisturizer when you want to look finished but not made up. For the price, this is an excellent item to have in your makeup collection and I highly recommend adding it to your cart. Happy shopping and get glowing! :)

Effective but small
When I recieved this I was very surprised on how small the tube was, especially because it was an $8 e.l.f. product. Works well to brighten skin though

hope elf brings this back!
I got the golden version of this lotion on sale, and if I knew it was being discontinued, I would've gotten more! This is the best drugstore "glotion" type product I've found - it has a dewy finish with little to no visible shimmer particles and it has a nice lightweight texture that makes it really easy to use. The only drawbacks are that its regular price is a bit high for the amount you get (0.85 oz is a little less than the standard 1 oz for primers) and it tends to pill a little bit with heavier moisturizers.

Glow lotion
Though it’s out of stock almost every other day I give E.l.f.’s glow lotion a 5 out of 5 because it gives a great glow-action to my skin when I need a pick me up

this product is amazing!
the only reason i gave it 4 stars was because its always out of stock which is very frustrating! it works wonders and im blown away by the subtle but beautiful glow it gives my skin, i use it with my foundation to give my skin the perfect fresh face! the price is a bit much for how small the tube is but a little goes a long way so i wont complain about price. but i am upset that i cant seem to get it when i need it. please restock. ive been waiting a while to order more. so not happy about that!

Surprisingly nice!
I've been using the golden one for a couple of years now with really beautiful results with or without Foundation. Gives healthy natural glow on my deep brown skin. It seems like this item is being discontinued, however I hope that e.l.f. would reconsider and maybe even create some deeper shades similar to their shimmering oils that they just brought out for the summer.

Perfect for Everyday
I've used this for a few years now, and keep coming back! I mix this into my daily sunscreen to combat the white cast and dry finish, and it leaves me looking perfectly healthy. Some highlighter lotions are way too strong, but this is just right for the natural skin glow that makes people question if you're even wearing makeup!

I love this stuff!
I bought this in gold. I put it across my cheeks and nose during the summer time (or whenever I go outside for a long period of time) and it catches the sun and makes me glow!

Personally, I think you can apply this anywhere on your body if you decide to do so, however, it's important to note that while there is plenty of product to last you a while if you only apply it to your face, you will run out of product pretty quick if you decide to apply it (liberally) over larger areas of skin. I do apply some to my neck and chest area but not a lot and I'm basically pulling the "glow" further down so the overall look is seamless. If you're looking for a body glow type of lotion, I'd suggest buying something different that comes in a larger quantity and made specifically for all-over body use ... so you can keep your special product for your face. :)

No I haven't tried it but your skin sounds like m8ne and I wouldn't use it for a moisturiser if I were you. Get the best. Moisturiser you can buy and 1 that is only a moisturizer. This 8s an imlumizer not an moisturiser. It's to make an already moisturized face kinda glow is my understanding of it. U can't wait to try this but it's not an moisturiser I would hate for you to order and be disappointed both in moister and glow part.

I think so. I've got sensitive skin and I don't like products with a lot of fragrance additives. So far, I've had zero issues using this product and I've been applying it liberally for over a week and am really liking the results. I'm fair skinned too and was afraid the product might be overwhelming and make me too glittery but its perfect. No breakouts, no rashes, no problems! :)

I wouldn't call them shimmering pearls ... it's more like a faint hint of shimmer that blends perfectly and doesn't make you look like you've got glitter all over your face. It's well-balanced and I'm using more than a small amount when I apply it to my face. Best part is the product doesn't leave that bizarre hue that is typical of a lot of the glow or shimmer products.
