Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fabulous Loose Finishing Powder This loose powder is fabulous! The whole Beauty Shield line is fabulous! I was looking for a really nice loose finishing powder, and I decided to give this a try due to the pricing. What a great value for the high quality! I went with the natural sheer...the color is very soft, not white. Although I could have done the golden shade, the lighter shade will work thru the winter months. And the consistency makes my skin feel like silk and gives a final polished look to my makeup...and not much is needed. I am also prone to break outs and I have had NO adverse reaction whatsoever. I really appreciate the user-friendly packaging. The twist applicator makes it so easy to sprinkle the perfect amount into the top and keeps the whole process very clean. I love it! FYI: try the Beauty Shield Vitamin C Serum too! Its one of the best on the market, and a fantastic value!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from love both shades Since the new reformulated corrective yellow HD powder disappointed me with its bright neon tint, I went for this one in both shades. The Golden shade I was afraid itd be too dark for me cuz im a pretty pasty gal but its light enough for me! Its a very soft yellow hue but has a peachy undertone, I compared it next to the OLD corrective yellow which was a soft yellow and next to the Natural shade. So I think it's even better than the corrective yellow for the bluish darkness under my eyes. Im not one to use the translucent white powder for my undereyes as it accentuates my bluish darkness no matter how well my concealer covers it. Its not drying, doesnt feel heavy, its perfect. The Natural shade I use for highlighting on the sides of my nose and abit under my eyes and its the best thing cuz it's not this harsh white "translucent" powder. It's a soft ivory shade with some yellow undertones as well. Brightens and works better than the translucent kind.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent coverage The only reasons I am giving this a 4 is that the twist cover to shake actually fell out and the poweder was eveywhere. But it did give me great coverage over my liquid foundation. It also lasted for hours.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hands down best elf product This powder is amazing, totally could be a high end 50+ dollar product given the quality. Blends everything nicely keeps my oily face nice and matte without over drying or looking cakey. Just buy it, it's totally worth the 8 dollars. I tried the HD setting powder and that always made me very cakey and dry + it had terrible flashback. This is a more luxurious product by far.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great setting powder I purchased this powder to use as a setting powder for e.l.f. foundation and am loving it! This powder helps set the dewy foundation but does not appear cakey. The powder has a beautiful light simmer that I get compliments on how glowy my skin looks all the time! GREAT product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good This powder is very comparable to the Laura Mercier translucent setting powder, but with a little more coverage. It has a very soft texture and sets all areas very well, the packaging is also really convenient and looks good too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GO ELF This stuff is amazing. The packaging is gorgeous and the quality of this powder is outstanding. If you scratch off the logo I'd say it was a high end setting powder. If you want a great powder to bake or set that is still affordable, I'd say stop by the store and pick this bad boy up.

Does it have flashback?

Asked by: Leslie07
Yes. The severity of it depends on how much you use and how long you leave it on your face. I wouldn't recommend baking with it if you're going out at night and planning to take pictures with flash.

Is the sheer/natural shade too dark for very fair skin (NC10)?

Asked by: cjmaine
I'm usually the lightest shade in every foundation I've gotten and the sheer/natural works well for me. It's not white, but kind of a light yellow that seems to match my skin really well. I really like it, since white powders make me look too grey

does this powder have sparkle in it? I know the other setting powder in the pinky shade does

Asked by: IBSB
This does not have sparkles in it.Its more of a matte finish and is good to keep your foundation in place and its good to cover oily skin

Why is e.l.f. still using talc?

Asked by: Karenina
They use talc because it's effective and totally safe for use. Many high end powders use talc. I know it's an ingredient that everyone suddenly thinks is dangerous, but there isn't sufficient science to back that up. There is ample evidence to prove its safety. Does ELF make any powder without talc. I am so allergic to talc, but I really wanted to try this :(

Asked by: Jennifer1558
They only one that doesn't have talc (unless they made a typo) is the High Definition Undereye Setting Powder IN SHEER. You can check rhe ingredients and contact elf to make sure it was not a just a typo but I'm sure it should be fine.

Does this powder have sunscreen?

Asked by: Autumnbobottom
It doesn't look like it does. I would recommend finding some kind of spray-over-your-makeup kind of suncreen. I've seen them before, maybe check Ulta.

Which shade is best for someone of African heritage with dark skin?

Asked by: ib_blings
I would imagine the golden shade, especially because of the yellow undertone (less likely to show up ashy on you). Depending on how dark you are, you may want to go in with a light hand, since the shade range is so tiny thus far. Hope it works okay for you!
