Additional Information

Beauty Shield Setting Powder is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 27.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Finish I use this over my bb cream or tinted moisturizer when I want a lightweight natural look and this really gives a nice finish. It made my oily t-zone matte and really completed the look by concealing whatever the bb cream or tinted moisturizer didn't. Very happy with this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Favorite Setting Powder This is hands down my favorite setting powder. It has a beautiful finish & goes on smoothly (not powdery/patchy & all over the place). I’ve tried many high end & drugstore powders, but I’m usually disappointed. I will be repurchasing this one in the same shade (sheer/golden).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Impressed I am quite impressed with this setting powder. It feels extremely light and silky on the skin, I haven't noticed it change the color of my foundation at all, and I definitely see the difference after applying it. It gives a blurred, matte finish on top of my more expensive liquid foundation, while not being too matte. For only $8 I will definitely continue to buy this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE IT! Gives my makeup a beautiful matte finish as well as does a great job at keeping it in place all day long, including during my workouts! It is also very light weight.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I love it! I really love this setting powder. I have combination skin so the reason it only gets 4 stars from me is that it will sit on top of my skin and look a little patchy when my skin is dry. But other than that it work a very well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing! I've been using mineral powders to set my face for years. I took a chance on this as I was looking for something to "set" more and I am in LOVE! It glides right on and isn't heavy or cakey. I also really appreciate that the container has a dial to keep the product in the jar when you're not using it. Seems like a lot more powder will be kept in use versus falling out into the sink.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Goddess glow Adds a beautiful soft glow to your skin. I've been using this as a everyday powder without makeup. It's makes me look so alive on days when I'm so tired.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I bought this setting powder in the sheer/golden and it’s the perfect match for my medium-tan skin tone. It’s lightweight, but covers well

Does it have flashback?

Asked by: Leslie07
Yes. The severity of it depends on how much you use and how long you leave it on your face. I wouldn't recommend baking with it if you're going out at night and planning to take pictures with flash.

Is the sheer/natural shade too dark for very fair skin (NC10)?

Asked by: cjmaine
I'm usually the lightest shade in every foundation I've gotten and the sheer/natural works well for me. It's not white, but kind of a light yellow that seems to match my skin really well. I really like it, since white powders make me look too grey

does this powder have sparkle in it? I know the other setting powder in the pinky shade does

Asked by: IBSB
This does not have sparkles in it.Its more of a matte finish and is good to keep your foundation in place and its good to cover oily skin

Why is e.l.f. still using talc?

Asked by: Karenina
They use talc because it's effective and totally safe for use. Many high end powders use talc. I know it's an ingredient that everyone suddenly thinks is dangerous, but there isn't sufficient science to back that up. There is ample evidence to prove its safety. Does ELF make any powder without talc. I am so allergic to talc, but I really wanted to try this :(

Asked by: Jennifer1558
They only one that doesn't have talc (unless they made a typo) is the High Definition Undereye Setting Powder IN SHEER. You can check rhe ingredients and contact elf to make sure it was not a just a typo but I'm sure it should be fine.

Does this powder have sunscreen?

Asked by: Autumnbobottom
It doesn't look like it does. I would recommend finding some kind of spray-over-your-makeup kind of suncreen. I've seen them before, maybe check Ulta.

Which shade is best for someone of African heritage with dark skin?

Asked by: ib_blings
I would imagine the golden shade, especially because of the yellow undertone (less likely to show up ashy on you). Depending on how dark you are, you may want to go in with a light hand, since the shade range is so tiny thus far. Hope it works okay for you!
