Rated 5 out of 5 by from FANTASTIC! I do not leave reviews but on THIS I have to! I have been looking forever for a good sunscreen and/or BB cream that suits my problem skin. I am 47, fair complexion with dark circles under my eyes and a few red splotchy a few fine lines.. to top it off, I have two badly scarred pores on my nose that are horribly obvious up close and I have large pores in general....I bought this after spending $36 on an "IT Cosmetics" tinted foundation spf 50....I will be returning that one asap and buying an extra bottle of this excellent stuff.....simply because I put this on and was IN LOVE! It blends into my fair skin like magic, it did not settle into my pores in such a way as to make them more obvious. (Most products do on me) This concealed the scarred pores on my nose, covered the red patches and partially concealed my dark circles. It felt like I was earing nothing at all, and I LOVE THAT!!! I hate sticky products that you can feel!!! Most high spf are sticky! My skin looked natural and glowing. I DID NOT NEED MY FOUNDATION. I just used the tiniest amount of yellow concealer aroubd my eyes and powdered a little...That is saying alot because I will NEVER leave the house witjout my foundation!!! No other product has given me this result! At the end of my day, it looked just as it did when I applied it in the morning!!! I would pay triple the price for this stuff!!!..but only $12? OMG!...BEST DEAL EVER!!! Please do not ever stop making this! I do not know about other skin tones, but this is FANTASTIC on my skin and all of my skin issues seem to go away while i wear it!!! AMAZING!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Oily, smelly, and separates I read a ton of great reviews and purchased this from Target because I work outside several days a week and needed some good SPF in my moisturizer. I do have an oily T zone so I looked forward to trying this as most of the reviews said it was not greasy. The product I bought had to be returned because it had leaked into the packaging. I actually exchanged and was even more disappointed in the second one. It was extremely oily and the ingredients kept separating. It smells to high heaven of cheap sunscreen, which is the last thing I want around my face. And it did break me out after only a few uses. The package had a sticker over the ingredient list, which leads me to believe that the formula has been recently changed. Bad call, Elf.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not brownskin friendly! I am a loyal e.l.f. customer so the fact that this product performed so poorly was very disappointing to me. When I noticed the product was tinted, I immediately assumed it wouldn't be a problem because the product is not offered in multiple shades. When I pumped the product into my hand, I was a little weary but again I wasn't too concerned because the product is offered as having a "sheer universal tint." THIS IS NOT THE CASE. It left a very noticeable gray cast on my face and I had to wash it off and restart my morning skincare routine. In the attached picture, you can see the stark contrast between the color around my mouth, and the color of the rest of my face with the spf moisturizer on it. BOTTOM LINE: If your skin is brown, DO NOT PURCHASE THIS SPF MOISTURIZER! (unless you would like to look ghostly) My SPF Moisturizer bottle also came scratched up and I am not sure why.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great for everyday use by itself. I recently got back into E.L.F Cosmetics and wanted to see if they changed the formulation for this product as well. I tired it shaken and un-shaken, and the result is the same. Very chalky looking with the SPF showing ghostly white on my face, despite it being a universal shade color, and I am a medium shade! I tried using this as a primer, but it left my face powdery and chalky looking even with good makeup! The only pros for this product are the high SPF (50), the great ingredients, and the fact that you can possible use this daily on it's own. Other than that, the quality is very poor still, and to be fair, you get the amount of product you pay for ($12.00) so while it isn't outstanding, it's an "ok" product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I USED to love this, Now it clogs my pores When I first purchased this back in December 2017 I was obsessed with it. It was great light coverage for my day to day life. I had gone through 2 bottles and then ordered a new one about a month ago. I think they changed the formula as it came with a sticker over the ingredients portion with a new list of ingredients. Now, its oily and clogs my pores so bad. It looked like I had little spikes on my nose and my cheeks broke out. So sad. It was the only moisturizer I had ever used that didn't break me out, but now it does. Use Caution when buying.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Inconsistent from bottle to bottle I first purchase off the Elf website and was instantly in love with the formula and the price! However, the second bottle I purchased from Target, and the formula was so watery and completely unlike the previous bottle. I really had a hard time using it up. I'm so sad because I have to find a new face sunscreen.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 10/10 I use this nearly every day on myself and my husband. It works really well as a sun screen. It feels like you don't have anything on either, unlike regular spf 50 sunscreens, which feel heavy and greasy. The tint is very subtle but enough to give your face a noticeable subtle glow. Remember to always shake well before you use this, because it separates.

Has anyone with pale skin used this? I'm vampire pale in the winter, and not quite vampire pale in the summer, and the tint in the picture looks sooooo dang dark! I really wish this product had no tint because I'd love a moisturizer with SPF 50 :(

Asked by: beepboop
I'm basically glow in the dark I'm so pale. I put paper to shame. I was skeptical too but it blends very well. I did find it slightly on the warmer side but the warmth doesn't show through my foundation at all.

How often will I have to apply this throughout the day to keep my skin protected?

Asked by: RayrayAna
For full protection you should reapply after every 2 hours of sun exposure, or more often if you're sweating/working out. If you're mostly outside to commute to and from work/school you should be fine applying 1 time for the day, especially if you go home in the evening.

Why oh why can this and the spf 50 moisturizer not be FRAGRANCE-FREE? Don't need scent in skin care whatsoever--would have been a good product without, I'm also not sure carrot seed oil is good for skin

Asked by: Carlcarl
Carrot seed oil is indeed good for your skin. It contains carotene and vitamin A and it is very good for healthy skin, hair, gums and teeth, and of course your eyes.

Does this have Avobenzone in it? I'm allergic and I have purchased Elf products before where it doesn't show on the ingredients list but on the packaging it did.

Is the sun screen ingredients in this &the other products in this new line cheical sun screen or physical only sun screen?(titainium dioxide & zinc oxide). Thank you!

Asked by: Ninjajill
It has chemical SPF too, eg, oxybenzone (look at the active ingredients list). The primer seems to have only physical SPF. Hope this helps.

Hi! Is this colored like a foundation? The picture shown looks dark and I'm afraid it won't match my skin. Thanks!

Asked by: PellMellxx
This product has a slight tint, but blends to your skin tone if blended well.

I have sensitive skin, and have chemical sensitivities is this product highly scented?

Asked by: rmissbrooks
Not really. It has a mild pleasent smell but not enough to irritate sensitive skin. I know personally as  I have very sensitive skin. It's actually very nice.
