Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very impressed When I first heard about this product, I was rather skeptical. I was afraid it would be like a foundation and that would feel heavy on my skin, but after I watched Drugstore Maven's review I figured I'd give it a try. I'm very glad I did, it's light weight, it's easy to blend and it matches my skin tone very well! My only complaint is that it will show off the dry patches of your skin, so I would recommend using a different type of moisturize to smooth out the dry patches before you use this product (I have combination skin). The moisturizer says it's a universal tint and although it worked well for my fair skin, I don't know how well it will work with women who have darker skin. Other than that I have no complaints!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Oily, but not moisturizing The texture of this product is very greasy and thin. The tint doesn't show up at all on my fair/light skin once blended in. I enjoy the high SPF and I think it's ok for the price, however, I already have good sunscreens. I mainly bought this for the added benefit of the moisturizing claims. I have dehydrated skin and this does nothing for moisture whatsoever despite feeling very heavy and oily on the skin. I notice that, although my makeup applies well overtop (once it's dried down), it does not last nearly as long throughout the day and tends to break up in my t-zone. Overall, if you don't actually need the moisturizing part of this product and just want a strong SPF, you could do much worse than this.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Watery I REALLY wanted to like this. Especially since it is one of Elf's more expensive products but not expensive overall. That being said, I feel like I wasted $12. This moisturizer is very watery, no matter how much I shake it. And I shook it like crazy. A little TOO much, just for it to come out a LITTLE less watery. Very oily also. I think mine is bad or something, the product seems to be separating. Bummer :(

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what I needed! I have used many tinted moisturizers looking for the perfect fit, but this has the best of everything. The SPF is wonderfully high at 50. The scent starts out a little strong and I was initially worried, but it quickly fades away as it sets.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Decent tinted moisturizer I must not have been paying attention when I bought this because I was surprised to find that it was tinted when I tried it for the first time. I wore it as a base today and was pleasantly surprised to find that I didn't really need any primer or foundation. It is a nice subtle hint of color. For reference, I am very pale. I do not think this would replace a regular daytime moisturizer. I still had some dry flakes on my face that I thought this should have addressed. I might buy again in place of a more expensive BB or CC cream, but I will need to buy a regular moisturizer as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great everyday SPF. I. LOVE. THIS! I am obsessed with this moisturizer. I love that is has an SPF of 50 so you know you're getting great protection. I use this every single day and have not had 1 break out from it. It's lightweight and hydrating. An added bonus is the tint so it can bump up the coverage on your foundation or be the only coverage you need.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Looks gray on my skin I didn’t notice the tiny universal tint at the bottom when I purchased this until later but I would have been okay with that. Unfortunately the tint looks gray on my skin and gives my face an overall ashy appearance. It also kinda burns my skin. I wanted the SPF 50 and was very excited about this but it didn’t match and seemed to burn although I’m not sure if this is from the overwhelming sunscreen scent since my skin is sensitive or something else. It makes your skin very tacky and also looks powdery when dry. The smell does remind me of a way stronger version of Murad primer mixed with sunscreen. I was really let down by this.

Has anyone with pale skin used this? I'm vampire pale in the winter, and not quite vampire pale in the summer, and the tint in the picture looks sooooo dang dark! I really wish this product had no tint because I'd love a moisturizer with SPF 50 :(

Asked by: beepboop
I'm basically glow in the dark I'm so pale. I put paper to shame. I was skeptical too but it blends very well. I did find it slightly on the warmer side but the warmth doesn't show through my foundation at all.

How often will I have to apply this throughout the day to keep my skin protected?

Asked by: RayrayAna
For full protection you should reapply after every 2 hours of sun exposure, or more often if you're sweating/working out. If you're mostly outside to commute to and from work/school you should be fine applying 1 time for the day, especially if you go home in the evening.

Why oh why can this and the spf 50 moisturizer not be FRAGRANCE-FREE? Don't need scent in skin care whatsoever--would have been a good product without, I'm also not sure carrot seed oil is good for skin

Asked by: Carlcarl
Carrot seed oil is indeed good for your skin. It contains carotene and vitamin A and it is very good for healthy skin, hair, gums and teeth, and of course your eyes.

Does this have Avobenzone in it? I'm allergic and I have purchased Elf products before where it doesn't show on the ingredients list but on the packaging it did.

Is the sun screen ingredients in this &the other products in this new line cheical sun screen or physical only sun screen?(titainium dioxide & zinc oxide). Thank you!

Asked by: Ninjajill
It has chemical SPF too, eg, oxybenzone (look at the active ingredients list). The primer seems to have only physical SPF. Hope this helps.

Hi! Is this colored like a foundation? The picture shown looks dark and I'm afraid it won't match my skin. Thanks!

Asked by: PellMellxx
This product has a slight tint, but blends to your skin tone if blended well.

I have sensitive skin, and have chemical sensitivities is this product highly scented?

Asked by: rmissbrooks
Not really. It has a mild pleasent smell but not enough to irritate sensitive skin. I know personally as  I have very sensitive skin. It's actually very nice.
