Perfect for oily skin
Purchased this tinted primer as soon as it became available and so far it exceeds my expectations. I am not bothered by the fragrance, but don't understand why it is included, as so many people have sensitivities to fragrance. The consistency of the product is very thick and I think that people with dry skin will find it hard to apply and blend, but for those with combo and oily skin it is easily smoothed on with fingers and blended out with a dense brush like an Artis. The shade of this primer I feel will only work with light or light/medium skin tones. For those with fair skin it may be too dark and for those with a deep complexion it will be too ashy. So much for universal tints, there's really no such thing! I love wearing this primer on it's own because the tint, I find offers enough coverage to be worn alone on my lazy days, which, since I am retired, is really every day! It does a great job of keeping my skin matte in the summer heat and when worn under makeup really keeps my foundation looking fresh all day. I feel like E.L.F. Is really coming out with exceptional and innovative products lately. I am impressed!

"Universal tint"
I just got this and from what planet is this a "universal" tint? That would have been fine for a whitish or clear tint. But this? Is at least 3 shades darker and yellower than I am. If you are a pale princess, DO NOT buy this. I am including a color swatch so you can see what I'm talking about. C'mon Elf. I'm Canadian, so paying shipping is ok, but to spend the change from USD and all that and then this in the mail? Ugh. SO disappointed

I am so sad that this has been discontinued
This is actually the first product I would have labeled a true “holy grail” for me. I came here and registered just to buy this product...and I’ve enjoyed many e.l.f. products. I am so very sorry to see it’s been discontinued. I do hope you rethink this decision. For someone like me who rarely wears foundation etc, this was perfect. A zinc oxide based sunscreen with the lightest tint and appreciable smoothing effects. This paired with blush constitutes a full face for me these days. I truly hope that you will bring this back. It was perfect in every way.

Perfect tinted primer!
Had been using TwoFaced primer until they changed the formula. I'm so very happy E.L.F. is offering a primer that not only has a "universal tint" but 50 spf too! Will never go back to my previous primer at a ridiculous price. This primer smooths, softens & protects my face & neck. I don't wear foundation, have tried too many cc/bb creams w/o spf. Have no need for them since primer provides the coverage & protection I want. For reference, I'm turning 70 in August & have received compliments on my complexion. Very little product is needed to cover my face & neck. Do wish ELF would allow "notify me" rather than "out of stock" for this item!! Will absolutely be ordering again!

Not tinted
I used this a few times, both with and without makeup. It is not at all tinted, its a full shade and made my skin look orange. It was very thick and dries as such, does not blend well into the skin, at least in my experience. I ended up throwing it away.

Amazing
This is my most favourite product, I was only able to grab one tube before it got discontinued. I am heartbroken. I hate foundation and every tinted sunscreen I’ve ever tried. This was perfect. So sad ELF, I’m so sad.

Finally a primer with 50 spf and zinc oxide that helped protect those who suffer with melasma and it’s is discontinued??!! Is this true?? So sad and disappointed that ELF would limit their line in this way. New brand search I guess.

I absolutely LOVED Beauty Shield Primer with SPF 50. Why was it discontinued? Is there any way to get more of this product? I found it on Amazon Prime for $33 which is crazy, when Elf sold it for $12. PLEASE bring this product back!!!

I am so upset that this is discontinued. I was able to get one and I absolutely love it and I hate wearing makeup. First foundation style makeup I actually love and it’s gone! Huge bummer for me

Is this product discontinued? I can’t find it anywhere. What is comparable? I loved the lightweight feel, spf 50, and tinted color for a stand-alone to smooth out my complexion. What did you replace this with?
