Rated 1 out of 5 by from Way too hard Don’t get me wrong, I love elf but this blender is just soooo dense and hard, even when you dampen it with water. It’s like bouncing a tennis ball on your face. I eventually just threw it out.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doesn't compare to beauty blender Okay, I don't mean to get make bad review but I loved Elf products which I pretty own there highlighters palette and so much more. This blending sponge which I got from Target because I couldn't find any beauty blender with such low price as this one is no one will compare it from RT and BB but as soon I will take my words back. I simply thought it could feel soft as my RT but this one is not. It feels hard to my face and actually hurt my face with the hard bottom of the blending sponge. Then I damped it with water which didn't feel right in my hand so I basically throw it away in my trash can. It's basically this product will stuck up all the product which I hate it. I loved Elf products that I own individual makeup brushes which I simply loved and used every single day when I put on my makeup but this product is no.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works for me! I don't put on makeup often but I've seen a lot of tutorials & everyone has some type of sponge to apply makeup. I was in Walmart & decided to buy it. I just read the directions on the back about getting sponge wet & squeezing out. I do not like a lot of make up caked on my face & my t-zone is dry, so I've tried different brushes & techniques to lightly apply makeup. This sponge works great for a lazy, barely informed lady :-) . I'm really happy with it & I actually applied makeup before work, which I never do. It blended my concealers & cc cream . I just checked my makeup & it still looks good after 7 1/2 hours. I'm really satisfied with the sponge!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Learn to use it - its awesome I got 3 free spongers and thought nothing of it, gave two to friends. One of them who swore by the beauty blender told me to use this. I've also used the Beauty blender for a few months before switching to this. One this is soaked, squeezed out and squeezed a tiny bit with my face towel - its the perfect blender. I've seen people write it absorbs too much makeup, in general I find all sponged absorb if you go in directly with a sponge. I recommend stippling your makeup and semi blending it with the 'selfie perfect' brush (also a must have), then going in with the sponge for that air brushed look. It blends my contour and concealer like a dream. I think the beauty blender is waaaay too soft, so the density of this gets the job done. I think ELF should do more tutorials with their products to avoid such negative reviews. This isnt the first product that I've read reviews and realized people are using the product sometimes way too soaked, putting wet products directly onto the sponge etc.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Did not like Blending Sponge Latex - free was not a blendable sponge had to use a different product to blend in my foundation.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Absorbs all the product Tried out the sponge since I found it for really cheap at Walmart, worst decision ever. Almost none of the product made it to my face, it was all sucked up by the sponge. Switched back to my Sephora beauty sponge and a completely different experience.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Ehh The sponge itself wasn’t completely horrible. It isn’t the softest nor hardest sponge out there. It definitely soaks up more makeup than expected. Didn’t blend as well as expected. My personal one came with weird indents on it..looks defective. Not very pleased.

Is the sponge latex free?

Asked by: megan23
What she means is that the sponge used to have latex but not anymore, it sort of sounded like she said the sponge was not latex free anymore.

How do you clean it?

Asked by: paigewilcox2015
I clean mine with a small dab of brush shampoo (or regular shampoo). Then let it soak in the sink in warm water after gently massaging in the shampoo. After a short soak, run mild water and gently squeeze it multiple times until clean (do not rub it aggressively). It may stain due to certain makeups, but it's still clean.

Is this product (MAKEUP sponge) long lasting, and I'd so, approximately how long

Asked by: Soru17
First off,mit is recommended that beauty sponges be replaced every 1 to 3 months, for sanitary reasons. No matter how well you clean any beauty sponge, you don't want to risk letting it hang around too long. As for its durability, as in the case of some of the reviewers here, my elf beauty sponge cracked after only one cleaning. It's still usable, but after its time with me expires, I will not be repurchasing this, unless improvements are made.

Please I want to know when you have available the "Oval pink Sponge", I need it so badly and I'm your customer for so many years and is not fair that your company take a lot of time for have it available. I hope you take care about this issue.

Asked by: Ivy Lopez
You are mistaken. Elf sponges are orange or white. There are no pink sponges. They're not oval.

How wet do you get the sponge for the best result? Might be a silly question but I've never used a sponge before.

Asked by: bestsamever
what i do is i hold it under the tap until its wet, then squeeze out the water with my hand then wrap it in a towel and squeeze it out a few times more. after you use it, just let it dry.
