Elf did it again! Must have in skincare routine

Pros: • Visible notice in skin glow & radiance plus even better looking results after longer use (see before/after photo just on hand) • Pairs so good under moisturizer, sunscreen, & makeup • Great dupe for the $182 Skinceuticals C E serum • Squeeze dropper (mini size) or push button click dropper (regular size) makes it super easy to control amount & apply evenly • Hasn’t irritated my sensitive dry skin • The affordable price is a given I mean c’mon - $8 for the mini or $16 for the large bottle (mini only on ELF’s website) • No lasting greasy or oily residue • Better glow than mostly every other vitamin C serums I’ve tried • Good consistency with clean ingredients • Very light dark spots on my face have almost disappeared & evened out skin tone tremendously • Leaves skin feeling smooth, tight, & hydrated all in one • Glass bottle with sleek look Cons/Neutral: • Different smell kind of earthy or herbal wood with hard to describe undertone but dissipates immediately after applying • Light sticky residue at first but mostly goes away after rubbing in & completely goes away after moisturizer and/or sunscreen • Dropper tube catches light air bubbles occasionally • If you use hyaluronic acid serum first make sure that completely dries before putting this on or it will lightly pill - ONLY noticed with hyaluronic acid serum twice & it was really because I was rushing my AM routine those 2 times so I didn’t let my first step serum dry before applying this (did not notice any other times or with any other serums) Overall rating: I’d give it a 4.5/5 stars without a doubt! The pros list far outweighs the cons/neutral list imo especially with the results I’ve been noticing. I’d say it compares to the expensive high end brands. It’s definitely included in my regular routine now. I will be purchasing the regular size bottle when my mini is gone. I hope this works well for anybody in the market for a vitamin C serum!

Affordable, effective, and cruelty-free

I’m so impressed with this serum! The e.l.f. Vitamin C + E + Ferulic Acid Serum has become a staple in my skincare routine. It absorbs quickly, feels lightweight, and leaves my skin looking noticeably brighter and more even-toned. I love that it combines powerful antioxidants like Vitamin C and E with ferulic acid, which you usually only see in much more expensive products. After just a couple of weeks of consistent use, my skin looks more radiant and feels smoother. There's no sticky residue, and it layers beautifully under moisturizer and sunscreen.

Wanted to love but couldn’t get past the smell

I love the packaging and the product itself. Felt great on the skin but the smell. To me it smelled like bacon. I could smell it on my face all day. Even my husband commented on the smell.

Looks glowy but dried out my skin when used daily

I received a free sample of the e.l.f. Skin - Bright Icon Vitamin C + E + Ferulic serum from the BzzAgent sampling program in exchange for my honest review. When I first received the product I was a little put off by the smell. The texture also seemed a bit greasy. I have been using it for a few weeks now in place of my regular vitamin C serum, and these are my thoughts. Applied on its own, it looks very glowy, but does leave a slightly greasy feel to my skin. However, I was able to use my other skincare and makeup products on top of it, and didn’t notice any changes to how my makeup performed throughout the day, which was a big plus. After using it on my face several times, I decided to bring it down to my neck- that was the first time I experienced irritation while using this product. The next day my neck was very itchy and had some small red areas. A few days later, the skin became dry and scaly and is now peeling. I have also started to notice that my face is much drier than usual. I will continue to use it, but not every day, maybe a few times per week until I build up a tolerance. I definitely will not be applying to my neck again. I don’t think I will purchase this product. I didn’t see any noticeable improvements in the few weeks that I used it, and would prefer to have a gentler vitamin C that I can use daily on my face and neck without drying and irritation.

Great all in one

I love that a little of this product goes a long way. Only a few drops are needed for the serum to fully be absorbed in the skin. It made my skin softer and more moisturized with a few small drops. Would definitely recommend.

Wanted to like it

The price point is so good for this product but it was just so sticky that no matter how many times I used it I couldn’t love it. I do not recommend.

Awesome serum!

So thrilled to receive this product free compliments of elf and BzzAgent for my honest review. I've been focusing on skincare and really excited for this brightening serum. It leaves my face feeling silky and smooth - definitely make sure you wear your SPF though! I can't wait to continue using it as part of my routine!

Great price and smooth skin

I received this product in exchange for my honest review. I love the packaging and the push dropper is great to apply the product. I noticed my skin had a smoother appearance after using the serum. However, I think it was greasy when first applied and it did not fully absorb how I thought it should. A little goes a long way and the price is great so I think it is worth trying.
