How To Use

  • Push down on the sides of the top to disperse product and apply a thin layer to slightly damp skin.
  • Allow mask to sit on the skin for about 5-10 minutes until bubbles begin to dissipate.
  • Massage face with fingertips and wash with warm water to remove.
  • Pat dry.
  • Recommended usage is 1-3 times a week. Avoid eye contact.
  • To avoid wasting product, apply formula using the e.l.f. Pore Refining Brush and Mask Tool

Beauty tip: Try a targeted approach and use multiple masks on different parts of the face for different skin concerns.  The Clarifying Charcoal Bubble Mask is great for areas of congestion.  The Mattifying Bubble Mask is best on any areas that are oil-prone.  The Hydrating Bubble Mask is wonderful on dry areas that would love a little attention.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bubbly Moisturizing Clarifying some Redness Relief I absolutely love the hydrating bubble mask. It enriches and readies the skin for other moisturizers. I wanted to try the charcoal bubble mask to see what it would do. I use cocoa butter to re-invigorate the effectiveness of both of these bubble masks. Using the bubble masks 2-3 times a week seems to be enough for my dark rich colored skin. For those who are having quick drying issues, I re-spray my face to re-enliven the bubbles with water and/or Mario Badescu Facial Sprays. Depending on how much my skin needs the moisturizing & clarifying, the bubbles can get quite fizzy all over my face or only slightly so. Either way the lotion can get quite thick after I wet the mask when the bubbling has stopped. The charcoal bubble mask has a "warm" sense compared to the hydrating bubble mask. The reviews have complaints about the packaging. I have a very expensive product that is "turn upside down and using both hands push down on the circular button to get the product released". I kept opening that one's lid because it didn't make sense to me. I now understand how to dispense lotion from that product. It is so much like the bubble masks from e.l.f. Perhaps the lotions need limited exposure to air? I have used the e.l.f. masks so many times. It took 10-12 times before the "button" started sticking. I do not know if it is because I have used so much product. I did have the button sticking like others stated their product had. I am not taking away stars as it may be the smaller amount of product left in the jar and my impatience with the lotion falling to the bottom toward the button so I can dispense it. The charcoal bubble mask has good redness relief (Though I still prefer e.l.f. workout redness relief mask. When is this product going to be available again???!!!), the ability to help skin absorb oil, and like the hydrating bubble mask the charcoal mask really does reach into the skin layers to hydrate and moisten. I recommend it to those who have the patience to work with a bubbling mask as it can be ticklish to the skin around the nose, mouth, et cetera. Approved to my standards of usefulness. Do not ask how much or what that means. Right.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Fun, But.. This mask seems like a fun way to get toxins off your skin, as long as they're near the surface. Other than that I was disappointed. I tried this for maskne, so admittedly it was a deeper acne attack than usual; however, all it did was bubble at the surface and make the skin angry, and the bumps didn't budge. I would recommend this to a friend as long as they had in mind that if you have deeply clogged pores or really oily skin, it may not be the best product for you.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Amazing but terrible pump and container I love this product! I honestly think it works at shrinking my pores and cleansing my face really well! However.... I thought I had ran out of the product and was about to throw it away when I decided to try and see if there was any product for me to scoop out and use. I used some tweezers to pry the pieces apart and to my surprise the container was basically full!! This was my second time purchasing it. The pump wasn’t sucking up the product anymore on the other container I had so I threw it away assuming it was completely empty. Love the product, but they seriously need to change their packaging ASAP. It’s terrible! I have the same problem with the $6 foundation (which I also love). The pumps never get all the product. I tried to take a photo to show how I took it apart.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I absolutely love this bubble mask but unfortunately not how it is dispensed. After a while the pump gets stuck and I have to use something to pop it back up.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Leaves your skin soft The main thing I liked about this was that it left my skin super soft every time. Not sure how much of an “acne fighter” or “pore minimizer” it was, but I didn’t expect it to be. It also would reach maximum bubbling as it was already drying up in places, a total of like 20 seconds. Packaging said it would be like 5 minutes?? Anyways, it’s fun and really does leave your skin soft. Just needs maybe a touch up with the drying process or something

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Fun but the bubbles weren't for me This product was a fun try, the serum left my skin feeling soft. It did not have much affect on my acne, though not many products really make much of a difference with that since I need something that dries them out. What I didn't like was the bubbles actually, because once the mask started foaming it would tickle my face so much I needed to start rinsing off. I personally won't buy this product again but I thought it was fun while I had it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Just a gimmick Not a very good mask to be honest. The bubbling is cool to watch but doesn't seem to give anything to it. The bubbles are tingly which is pleasant except around your nose because it tickles like mad and is very annoying!! It doesn't give any sort of benefits to my skin- doesn't reduce oil which I would expect from a charcoal mask. The packaging is nice to look at but to dispense the product is actually quite difficult and after a few uses barely any product is coming out with each press. For the price I'd expect a lot more. Wouldn't recommend.

How often do you use this product? And if you use a cleanser already can we use both cleanser and mask or just use one for the day?

Asked by: BGarcia27
We suggest using a mask anywhere from once to three times per week. You may cleanse first and then use the mask.

how long does the mask last, like how many times would you be able to use it?

Asked by: kiwi14
It’s not a sheet mask rather like a liquid  spread that foams/bubbles up once applied to the face.

I have eczema on my face? Will this product aggravate my sensitive, dry skin, or hurt the sores that sometimes occur on my face?

Asked by: brokemusicmajor
I am pretty sure that this would not help with excema. And if anything, I presume that this would aggravate it maybe. Talk to a dermatologist.
