Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stain = long lasting!!! I put it on in the early morning before work and still have color late afternoon, even after lunch! I don’t really have time to reapply during the day so this product is great for me!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unique Applicator Tip Bring back all Essential Lip Stains. They are the bomb. The applicator tip is the secret. I enjoy all of the colors: red crimson, berry, and love the nude. DO NOT DISCONTINUE THIS PRODUCT

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Preferred lip coloring I use the Elf lip stains almost daily (I use nothing else except an herbal lip balm). I tried to find them at my store, but I was told they are being replaced with Lip Tint. I bought a Lip Tint - Please bring back the stains. The tint is horrible and harder to apply with the wand and not nearly as bold with the color and feels awful. I love the stain because I do not like the feeling of lipsticks etc. on my lips. The stain is color only, not heavy, suffocating or squishy feeling.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Combine with oils! I really liked this product and I'm stalking the page waiting for the other two colors to come back in stock (I have Nude Nectar). I use lip oils, home-made and store-bought, on a daily basis, so my lips are almost always very smooth. On days when something is off and I have rough patches, I definitely see the patches that other reviews mention, but I usually have good success and it's not even that fiddly. I also found that the stain actually stays in place if I use my oils over it, which is not true for any other lip colors I've tried. If you use an oil or other moisturiser it's not drying at all, but I didn't notice any particular dryness even with just the stain.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from No good It is not very manageable to use. It felt very dry and didn’t look matte.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very drying, patchy I was not impressed. I bought 3 shades and ended up throwing them out. They are *very* drying, like just putting straight alcohol on your lips. The color is patchy and clings to any imperfection on your lips. I exfoliated and moisturized, and it still looked terrible. I love many elf products, but this is a miss for me.

I'm so lost. Trying to find an e.l.f. lip product with some staying power. I saw this lip stain, read reviews, and wondering if the smell itself is being addressed and why does the stain dry out so fast? Is it meant to be a trial size?

Asked by: myroses
It is not meant to be trial size, and I had no problem with it drying out.

What color would be best with my skin tone? I am more of an ivory color (I have a red under tone)

Asked by: Kyleeclover
I'm ivory with a cool undertone and i like Berry Blush the best, You juts have to put on a light application or else it will look red

How do you remove it? My makeup remover wipe didn't remove it and it didn't wear off.

Asked by: Eileen L
I also couldn't remove it with my typical makeup removers (baby oil and coconut oil). Saliva took it off in a second, so just lick your lips liberally and wipe away with a tissue. It might take a couple tries to get it all off. I was shocked that makeup remover didn't take it off, but spit did.

I love the stain, but how do you get it to the tip? Example, with a pencil, you would sharpen it.

Asked by: Dee Hayes
Store it upside down.
