Ok, at first I hated this product and I was really confused about how to make it work. I had been searching for a (reasonably priced) eyeshadow-to-eyeliner product for a couple years now. I was so excited when I first saw ELF's version. I've been a loyal customer for years now and have almost always been pleased with the quality of the products. I couldn't get the sealer to work. I didn't have any instructions for it and I was under the impression that the sealer brush was to be applied over my already completed eye makeup. THIS IS NOT THE CASE! It smeared everything. I almost threw the stuff away, but I decided to see if Google could help me out. And "ding-ding" I got my new favorite product! Here is what I learned: Step 1: Pick out the eyeshadow you want to use as eyeliner. Step 2: Remove the sealer brush from the tube (making sure it has a good amount of product on it) Step 3: Dip the sealer brush into the eyeshadow as you would any other brush. Step 4: Line you eyes with you new eyeliner. Step 5: Take a moment to realize that you now have virtually unlimited number of eyeliners. Step 6: Dance! PS: I'm only reviewing the sealer here. The primer was ok, but nothing special.

This is so so good but it's soooooo drying. The primer works really well but it leaves my eyelids looking so thin and aged. If I gently pull on my lid while it's on You can see the tightness. I didn't notice this when I first started using it but I used it on my lips once with foundation to blot out my lips and they were wrecked for weeks after. I do like the liner though, it takes getting used to because dont wipe it off enough and you feel like youre squeezing liquid into your eyes. It also goes on a little thin, it might just be the shadow I use but it takes a few coats. Once it's on though it's so so waterproof. I wore this sea kayaking and spent the whole time getting my face splattered by seawater and I came out 4 hours later with wings completely intact. I probably would use a different primer and a regular liquid liner if I had it, but I think this is really good for traveling if you bring just a small neutral palette and this instead of a bunch of pencils and tubes and palettes. Bring this with a good brown/black and you cover brows, shadow, and liner.

I'm not so sure about the liner sealer side, I tried sealing a bronze pencil eyeliner with it and it took half the colour off (but what remained lasted well), maybe it works better over a more opaque pencil. But the eye primer side is actually really good as an under eye corrector/concealer, it's just creamy enough but fairly firm, a bit peachy and blends seamlessly into skin, and around a MAC NW20-NW25 in depth. I've ordered a backup.

More like a makeup remover
i have this product and the primer does nothing and the sealer is literally is a fine tip makeup remover. Works fantastic at removing your eyeliner.

Not just for the eyes!
I bought this product about a year ago only to experiment. I’ve been through a numerous amount of lip liners cheap & expensive to find something to prevent my lipstick from bleeding. I decided to try the elf eyeliner sealer on my lips. I line with my lip liner, apply my lipstick then apply the elf eyeliner sealer over my lip liner and SHAZAM!! My lipstick NO LONGER bleeds into the fine lines on my face above my top lips. If elf ever comes out with a product to prevent lipstick from bleeding, I’ll be sure to buy it. However, as for now, I’ll continue to buy the eyeliner sealer.

I actually love it
I bought mine 6 years ago & it still works wonders. My eye shadow stay on even when I went to a water park my friends were like wow how is your eyeshadow staying on!? It also helps my eyeliner stay fresh & bold all day. I love it STILL.

Sorry Elf , I'm a massive fan of your makeup but not this one . I think the primer is okish but the liner sealer wasn't , It seems to ruin the coverage of the liner : /

Please separate these!
I loved the liner side. An innovative product that works well. The eyeshadow primer was useless for me. I have oily eyelids so I need a good primer to keep my shadows in place. I’ve never had shadow crease then disappear as fast as when I used theirs primer. Faster than on my bare lids! Separate the products, junk the primer, make the liner tube a little bigger and you have a worthwhile product.

Best Sealer ever
I bought this product a month ago and wasn't expecting too much, but boy was I surprised, the sealer is amazing! The primer was good but I never use it. I wish ELF would sell a larger separate container of the sealer!!!

I came across it and thought I'd try it. It works great! I put my eyeliner, usually regular/gel eyeliner, then just gently run the white tip over the eyeliner. Keeps it in place. Both on the top and bottom eyeliner that I smudge under my bottom lashes. You'll be happy with the results!

One side helps set your eyeshadow, so it doesn't just come off either because of oily liss or very lose powder- or whatever. The other is something that helps you turn your eyeshadow into eyeliner by using the product itself to apply the shadow-as-liner.. It helps set the eyeshadow so that it's an eyeliner that also won't rub off or smear.
