Good cream

I tested the e.l.f. Holy Hydration! Face Cream for several weeks, having oily and acne-prone skin, and my experience was somewhat mixed. This cream promises deep hydration with ingredients like hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, and peptides, which are highly appealing in terms of skincare benefits. From the first application, I noticed its texture is quite lightweight and absorbs quickly, which is ideal for not leaving a heavy or greasy feeling on the skin. However, after several days, I began to notice some breakouts, particularly on my forehead and cheeks. Upon further research, I found that although the cream is fragrance-free (a plus for sensitive skin), it does contain ingredients such as squalane and fatty alcohols (cetyl alcohol and stearyl alcohol), which can be comedogenic for acne-prone skin types. I didn't feel it helped control oil production either. While it left my skin soft and moisturized, it ended up clogging some pores in my case. Ethically, I really appreciate that it's a cruelty-free and vegan product, which speaks well of the brand’s values. In conclusion, I believe this moisturizer could work very well for normal to dry, or even combination skin, but if you have oily and acne-prone skin like mine, I recommend patch testing it first and monitoring for any breakouts. It’s a good product for hydration, but perhaps not the most suitable for managing acne or balancing excess oil.

Great, moisturizing face cream!

Loved trying this hydration face cream! Not only does it feel super hydrating with just a small amount of product (a little gets you far), you could also keep adding onto your skin and it won’t feel heavy at all, it’s super lightweight. The cream has the faintest scent, a good one, but I prefer that my skincare products don’t have any overwhelming perfumes or fragrances in them. All in all, my skin loved this cream, definitely would purchase.

I have used this both in winter and summer; my skin prefers it in Winter, as Summer is when it get oily and doesnt need the moisturizing. But it does wonders, the price is awesome, and the smell...I love it. It reminds me of the candy Fuzzy Peaches.
