Love it but mine broke :(

Ive had it for a while now and I'm in love with it!!! The colors are super pretty and they feel super hydrating. Cheap price and it lasts a while. I had mine in my bag with the lid on and then I took it out and it was broken at the top so it doesn't look like a heart anymore but it still does the job!

I bought one of these in shade ecstatic and I loved it so much that I had to get a second one! They are smooth, shiny and balmy (not unlike the sheer slick lipstick) on the part that surrounds the heart in the center. The heart centers of mine are pretty solid and don’t wear away as quickly as the rest of the product, however, this may just be because I live in a cooler climate. Anyway, the heart is a firm and hydrating jelly consistency that I like. The only drawback for some people may be the smell. I don’t mind it (and this is coming from someone with a sensitivity to scents), but I could see the smell ruining the product for someone. I think this is a great product, but I feel that six dollars would be a better price. A final note: I put this on before going to bed, and I woke up with soft and hydrated lips! I hope this review helped someone!

Color Not as Shown

I purchased the color 'joyful' which is supposed to be a pink/rose. It is definitely a very light peach color. no pink or rose at all. These are also very sheer .more like a gloss, Not much color, wears off quickly. Also, goes on glossy, but then dries quickly. This was a waste of money.

It's fine

I wanted to love this but it just missed the mark. I perchanced this at Ulta in shade joyful. It smells like pure wax and show's every line in your lip. It makes my lips look wrinkly. The color is pretty and it is somewhat hydrating but I am just not sure if this is worth 7 dollars.

Probably one of my favorite lipsticks, it’s very hydrating, pigmented and I adore the little heart in the center

Disappointing Core Lip Shine

I bought a tube of the hydrating Core Lip Shine (in Delightful/Mauve) at CVS in NYC yesterday, hoping that it would be a good extra lip moisturizer to have in my bag. Got home and tried it only to discover that the color was nothing like the color of the tube it came in, but rather an awful, lurid shade of mauve, making one look ill. And the smell was as bad as the color! Not exactly a fragrance, but something you definitely would not want on your lips. I've tried and liked other Elf products and thought this one would be a "no-brainer" good value for the $, but it's awful. Oh well, back to Burt's Bees or another $25+ lip product.

Good not great

I love this product but it’s a bit too pink for me. It is hydrating and shiny, but I think it’s almost a little too pigmented. Overall I think it’s good, I think I would be willing to try a different color though.
