Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this product I have been using this for several months now. It has literally helped the bags under my eyes to shrink. I only like the small bottle.....the large bottle is too oily for me.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from not expensive but not good. i bought this a while ago and haven't used more than three times. I really wanted a good quality primer that would hydrate my face. This was really oily and greasy. I disliked the feeling of this on my face very much

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Loving it I really am likin this primer, but with my foundation it tends to get a bit shiny because it is a hydrating foundation. But if you use it with a different foundation it is very nice and does work on hydrating my skin.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works well, smells bad I bought this a couple months ago and have used this several times. It creates a very smooth, silicone-y feeling canvas for makeup. I wouldn’t say it feels hydrating per se, but it does hydrate the skin. It smells bad, like plastic and chemicals.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for Me I have tried ELF regular primer (smelled like fish), their brightening lavender (which I liked), and their illuminating primer (glitter in a bottle). All of which I had to use a moisturizer with due to the dry patches on my skin. And then I tried this. The consistency and thinner than their other primers which worried me at first. It does have a slight fish smell but it does what it says. It hydrates all my dry patches and gives my skin an overall dewy look. So far, this one is a winner for me.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very hydrating I have dry skin with an oily nose. It is very hydrating but almost feels like a dry oil. It is nice and a little goes a long way. I would recommend not to use it underneath something extremely mattifying (like the Hard Candy Glamouflage Foundation) but it works very well underneath a formula like WetnWild's Photofocus foundation. The price point is affordable and cheap enough that recommending it is easy. However, it leaves a greasy film on your fingers after application which can be annoying but for the price, it's fine.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Only primer i use I really like this product and it actually does hydrate. A little goes a lon way and it does fill my pores but if your using a hydrating foundation u mite look shiny even if u hate dry skin

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty nice I bought this a couple of months ago as a first-time primer user. Since I have no other experiences with primers, I don't necessarily have anything else to compare it to. However I was able to pick out some features of this primer that I liked and could get improvements in. Some positives: nice consistency-it felt nice on my face, wasn't too thick, clear- in the photo the product looks white but it is indeed a creamy clear, easy to pump out/spread- again, this might go along with consistency. Some Negatives: amount- I'm not sure how much is in this container compared to the large container, and I'm also not sure how long a primer is supposed to last, but I used it consecutively for about a month and a half before I had to take it apart and salvage it for that extra product. That being said, it's about $48 a year on primer alone. Not that bad, but depends on your budget. The next negative is the hydration. My skin is mostly dry, and when it grabs the moisture it turns greasy in some noticeable areas like the sides of my nose, and my forehead. This primer did not help me with skin hydration if I used it alone. I noticed that my skin started to peel after only a couple of hours. I would definitely recommend to put on a *strong* moisturizer before putting this on, (but of course it all depends on your skin type).

Will this clog my pores? Is it ok for people with acne prone skin?

Asked by: McCallMargaret
No, it shouldn't clog your pores unless you're sensitive to dimethicone (silicone), but the majority are not. Worth a try. :) It is okay for acne prone skin - again, unless you find you have a specific sensitivity to dimethicone (silicone).

How many ounces? I'm trying to find where the size is, in ounces, and don't see it (on this and other products). Where is this listed?

Asked by: charisma1312
0.37 FL oz, it says on this page, in the product description /details. However, it isn't listed on the bottle.

Why aren't the size of the bottles for primers and other items listed anywhere? Am I missing this info? I did read one review that showed the size smaller than .37 and at this cost makes it expensive.

Asked by: myroses
Yes, 0.37 FL oz is correct. The volume is indicated in the product description/ details.

Is this primer silicon based? Thanks!

Asked by: Kat2233
Yes, it is. It contains dimethicone, among other things. Most if not all of ELF's primers contain some sort of silicone.

How do i determine a shade for the primer?

Asked by: judy22
It's transparent on the skin. The hydrating primer on comes in one "color" but it goes on clear. They also do have color correcting primer to correct for redness or sallow skin (they look green and lavender, respectively.).

How much is in the bottle? I heard that only the silver part is filled but not the rest of the bottle? How man uses does it last for?

Asked by: nabii23
It has 0.47 FL oz or 14ml. You don't need much per use. With daily use, it probably would last a least 3-4 wks depending on how much you like to apply.
