Not the best for oily skin

* I received this product for free in exchange for a review * I have oily/combo skin and while I find this product improves application of my makeup I do not find that it improves the wear time. Especially in my nose where I get the most oily I still notice the foundation breaking down when using this primer. Areas on my face that do not get oily such as my cheeks I do notice that it improves wear time a little bit. I like how this primer makes my makeup apply, I find that the sticky texture helps grip my foundation and give me a fuller coverage than I would usually get. When paired with a mattifying primer in my t-zone I do really like it, it just can't stand on its own for my skin. I think if someone had dry skin they would really like this.

Great Product, Long Lasting!

I don't usually use primer but after trying this product I think I will moving forward. Normally I just wear foundation/blush for a natural look and to even out my skin tone and reduce redness. I've been using this primer for a few days and have really liked the results. The pump applicator is really nice and it comes out as a gel which is different from others I've tried. When I first put it on it says let it dry for 30 seconds. After a few minutes my face was still sticky but that did't seem to be an issue once I applied makeup the sticky feeling went away. Overall, my makeup lasts way longer and my face doesn't feel as powdery because the primer is holding it in. What I was most pleased by is after a few days my face seemed to be less red in the morning so I think it's actually helping my skin with the hydrochloric acid which is a huge plus. It's providing a good barrier between my face and the makeup to eliminate additional irritation. *Note: I received this product for free in exchange for a review from BzzAgent.

hydrating and long lasting!

**I received the e.l.f. Power Grip Primer for free in exchange for my honest review** This primer really helps my makeup stay on all day and gives a nice grip. It feels a little sticky at first, but it goes away once everything's blended. I like that it’s hydrating too. Took off one star because it doesn’t work great with every foundation I’ve tried.

Great Primer!!

I received this product and as soon as I started using it, it has made my makeup look so good and stay on for way longer! I definitely recommend and it hasn’t made me break out

Impressed with the JUMBO Power Grip Primer!

ELF sent me this free sample through the BzzAgent sampling program in exchange for my honest review, and I’m so glad I got to try it! I've used a lot of primers over the years, but this one stands out for a few reasons. First, the grip is no joke—my makeup stayed in place all day, even through humidity and long hours. It gives my skin a smooth, tacky base that really holds onto foundation and concealer. Compared to other primers I’ve tried (like those from more expensive brands), the performance is just as good—if not better. I also love that it’s fragrance-free and gentle on my sensitive skin. It didn’t clog my pores or cause breakouts, which is a big plus for me. The JUMBO size is such a great value, especially if you use primer regularly. I’ve been using the power grip primer since freshman year of college (TWO YEARS) and I’ve loved it ever since. I loved the niacin-amide one as well (great for the skin and great addition to skin care). Overall recommend it!!

$10 Primer Works Like It’s $50

Okay so… I finally tried the e.l.f. Power Grip Primer (Base Slayer) and let me tell you… I’m OBSESSED. Honestly? It blows a lot of other primers out of the water, specially some of them that are 3 times the price. I’ve tried a bunch; some feel too slippery, some do nothing at all. But this one actually does what it says. It has that slightly tacky finish that helps your makeup stick in the best way possible. It kind of reminds me of the Milk Hydro Grip, but waaaay more affordable. My makeup literally does not budge with this on. It’s super affordable but works like a high-end product. Makes my makeup last all day. No sliding, no creasing. Feels nice and hydrating without being greasy. Works great with both dewy and matte foundations. The pump is cute and easy to use (no mess, no waste). I already know I’m going to repurchase once I run out. It’s one of those products that just works and now I don’t want to do my makeup without it. I absolutely recommend it. I’ve already told a few friends to grab it. Whether you’re into full glam or just a little concealer and go, this primer gives you that flawless base that stays. It’s a total must-have in my book.
