Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works Great! I was on my way out of Old Navy from buying some cheap jeans and I saw this at the cash register. I just had to pick it up and give it a try because it was only $3 I decided it wouldn’t be that much if it didn’t work. This store only had brown sugar and the shade clear left. From what I can tell I believe they’re pretty much the exact same “shade” . As you can probably see from other photos, the exfoliate her comes in a lipstick form I just very convenient to use. I applied it to my lips like a normal lipstick, and at first it was a little bit hard to apply, but after I “scraped the top layer” it applied beautifully. It applies almost like a lip balm with some sugar in it. I did have to build it up a little bit to get a good amount of sugar on my lips. The application itself was exfoliating enough to where I didn’t feel the need to rub my lips in order for it to work, but out of habit I did for a second. This is not edible like some other lip scrubs, but I was able to taste a little bit of a sweet sugar. After applying I took a baby wipe and wipe off the excess product. Afterwords it left my lips feeling amazing. There was a *tad* of a sticky layer left on my lips, so I applied lip balm right away. I really really like this product, and the only reason I gave it four stars is because it smells a little bit like play dough which was kind of Off putting. My medicine leaves me with chronically dry lips, so if this works for me it should also work for you.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Mint Mistake Bought this yesterday on a whim. Wish I'd read these reviews first and saved myself $3. The mint version of the product is horrible. No mint scent or flavor at all. Product smells awful and would not apply. Legit felt like I was rubbing a plastic toy lipstick over my lips as nothing was applying.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from DO NOT BUY MINT I bought the mint one and I was so excited because I have heard great things about it. And once I got it, it smelled so bad. It smelled like old glue and it was so stiff it broke when I tried to use it. I am scared to buy another one and try it out.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from terrible I bought the brown sugar one. It was dry and stiff - it didnt glide easily at all. It was painful trying to use it on my lips. even after i tried to warm it up, it still was super hard and dry. I'm glad it's only $3 - what a waste.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing product My lips are always dry and only the DHC lip balm works well on my lips, but I tried this on last night and it turned out that it’s working great! It kept my lips soft and moisture all night long! I love this a lot! I just recommend this to my friends!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I have bought this product in the past and absolutely loved it. I would completely use up the whole tube and it was a wonderful product. However the last two tubes I have purchased were basically not even useable. It was like trying to put a tube of dried glue on your lips. I wonder what has happened to this product for it to have changed co completely.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't buy the mint! I agree with the other reviewer that said the mint is horrible. I thought it was me but the product is extremely difficult to use. It's not as soft as I thought it'd be. The first time I "used" it (and I put used in quotes because I haven't successfully used it), it broke out of the container. Unfortunately, due to it being cheap, I couldn't return it. Had to throw it out. Haven't tried other colors so I can't say they are all like this. Hopefully the others are better.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from DO NOT BUY THE MINT I bought this over the recent black Friday and Cyber Monday sale, specifically the mint one, and it's the worst lip scrub/exfoliator I have ever used. I love elf, and I've bought tons of products from them before, but the mint lip exfoliator was a huge let down. I'm not sure if the other types are any good, as I haven't bought them, but I would not recommend the mint one. It was very stiff and sticky, almost the texture of rubber or a dry glue stick, and it also hurt when I went to apply it on my lips. I thought maybe it needed to be worn in a bit, so I began to rub a bit on the back of my hand, only for it to pull the hairs painfully. I applied a little more pressure on my lips and the entire stick broke off the edge of the tube. Very disappointed but this was only for the mint, so the others might be good.

Are all the flavors equally effective in exfoliating the lips, or are some more effective than others?

Asked by: Anonymous247
The Brown Sugar one is a little rougher than the others. With the rest of them the only difference is scent and flavour.

Is there a difference between the 3 different exfoliators?

Asked by: geronimo
Though there are more than 3, they all have a difference. Each is meant to smell like their name plus some even taste like it. Ex: Mint Maniac smells and kinda tastes like mint. As far as I've seen, they don't have a tint and some are better at keeping moisture than others.

Do any of the different flavors leave any sort of tint, or no? Worried about finding a flavor I like that won't tint a color I can't wear well

Asked by: Sunshine20
They don't leave any tint.

e.l.f. team please answer!! I have always seen reviews about there being a balm in the bottom. However, there were two holes on the bottom which leads me to believe it's simply to prevent the product from drying out. So, is it a balm or is it not???

Asked by: anamay117
YES!!! I ordered 5 of the Cherry Flavor from their website, and they all have a really nice balm at the bottom.  The only problem is I had to use a wrench to pry it open, which broke the plastic.  I'll use up the scrub and then pry the bottom off and scrape it to an empty container.  There's a decent amount, so it's worth it.  I wish elf would mention this in the description because I've thrown away about 6 containers before I realized the balm was there!
