Rated 4 out of 5 by ELFC from Beginner/Great price/1st impression These are really nice colors and really pop on my brown skin tone, think Ellarie. For me, they are pigmented. There's some fallout if you care about that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Abby14 from Great palette for the price! I love this palette. It has the neutrals that can make a basic look and colors that can make a bold look. They are a little powdery with some fall out, but the pigment is there. Thanks elf for another great product!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Likeslichens from Nice direction for this series of palettes! After loving the original Mad for Matte nudes, I purchased the Summer Breeze and Holy Smokes at the same time, thinking the Holy Smokes was a 50/50 chance for me. Turns out I like it a lot, especially for the shift toward cool tones and the inclusion of a green (!!!). The dark colors are a bit on the messy side, but I generally use them wet as a liner. I appreciate that this palette series is such an affordable way to build up an all matte collection with some rather versatile shades. I'll probably pick up the Jewel Pop as well; I am typically a neutral person, but I could use some nice bright option and so far the Mad for Matte editions have impressed me favorably. And this small thing: I love the packaging on these palettes - trim and compact and simple, like a 1970s Volvo wagon! I appreciate the restraint. Now if e.l.f. would just come out with a palette of cool neutrals with a nice range of olive/sage/moss GREENS, it would be welcome continuation of the collection. Please, Elf Team!

Rated 3 out of 5 by finonawyder from Cheap product with fallout My biggest complaint with ELF eyeshadows is usually that they're not pigmented enough and require you to use a lot of product...this pallette has the opposite problem. The dark colors in this are *so* difficult to control, raccoon eye is hard to prevent. Hard to blend out, lots of fallout in the pan and under my eyes. The copper color is my favorite, it's the only one I can really use.

Rated 4 out of 5 by BarWins from Quickly becoming daily favorite I picked this up about 2 weeks ago and I was a little on the fence between this pallet and the other matte one. After 2 weeks of almost daily use, I have to say I will probably be using this daily until I hit the pan on some of the shades. Formula: It doesn't get that dusty, with the exception of the lightest shade. I despise kick-up because I often put my make on in the car, because this gal is always on the go. The pigment is pretty good and blends out rather well even on someone who often doesn't have a full set of brushes. Using it with a primer of some sort is going to get the best look. I've tried this with no primer or concealer on my eyes and it just didn't really pop like it does with primer. It also doesn't do weird things with non-elf primers or concealers like shadows sometimes do. I've also blended them with some other eye shadows in the drug store range of things and they seem to play just fine together. Colors: I love the mix of warm and cool shades. Most seem like pretty cool shades but there are a few warms in there that you can then tap on a little of the black and be on your way. The black isn't the blackest, it's more of charcoal, which isn't bad, sometimes you don't need the strongest black shadow in the world. But it goes well with both the warm and the cool shades. The blue and green are crazy strong and unless you are looking for something super popping, then you might not use those as much. The browns are pretty when mixed together, but funny enough they do go pretty well with the green. Looks: I've gotten about 4 really good looks out of this pallet, from the traditional smokey eye, to a warm, cool and smokey blue-green look. Staying power: The warm shades definitely have the saying power to make it through a work day. The blue, green, black and grey I wore out to a concert and only had my mascara (not Elf) do me injustice. The shadows wore down about half way, but seriously I was kinda dancing all night with occasional really dumb moshing. I'm surprised I had any shadow left. All in all it was well worth my money

Rated 4 out of 5 by jpollock from E.L.F never disappoints for the mama on a budget I love the color pay off you receive from this elf eye shadow palette. Great price point and perfect fit for my on the go makeup case. Very chocolate girl friendly and it lasted for my full work day. My eye lids get pretty oily so after priming, I really look for matte shadows like this that will last and not run throughout the day. .
