Rated 1 out of 5 by from Nothing rosy about these weird shades Of everything that went wrong with my order, this may have been the most maddening. The colors are more of a brickish/orange, and a suuuuper pale yellowish shade?!? Literally no one would describe either as 'rosy', per the description. Duped again, in all the wrong ways. Fun fact: no refunds or exchanges are allowed on online orders! Most of my order was a complete waste of $. Will never give ELF another cent after their terrible customer service and policies, and their habit of not giving accurate product descriptions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Obsessed I read all the reviews of "Rosy Flush" and yet, I couldn't stop wanting it for years, so for my birthday this year, I bit the bullet and placed the order. The reviews are right. The picture online looks much more red/pink overall whereas in real life, the left is more of a mix of brown and red while the left shade is what "Cantaloupe" shade in the bite size face duo looks like online (I don't have it so can't quite say what it looks like IRL). I haven't found a use for the lighter shade: it's couldn't serve as an all over powder as it has some color, but it doesn't have enough color, at least for my medium-light skin tone, to serve as a blush or bronzer. The "red" shade, on the other hand... I'm absolutely obsessed. The first time I wore it, I was wearing primer underneath my foundation and the blush looked really muddy. The second time, however, I was not wearing primer and it was the perfect natural flush/depth. I was shocked. The third time I wore it, I blended a bit too much and it ended up muddy again. So what I learned is that I can't blend too much, lest it somehow loses that redness and becomes muddy brown. Given the right application method of tapping rather than blending away (I think it may have to do with mixing with the base product, perhaps?), it's this inimitable, gorgeous look of natural but refined that classic kind of carved cheek look. I usually hate it when products require babying but this is so worth it. I'm a little nervous that ELF may discontinue the product. I'm not into backups or repurchasing except very select few products that have no dupes (ELF kiss it goodbye lip color remover is an exception, which ELF discontinued :-/), but I'm tempted to get backups, even though I only use half the product, as of right now.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful duo I got the Rosy which looks nothing like the picture. It's marked Rosy but it's absolutely the other colour Subtle. But i don't care because it's stunning. The formula is lovely and smooth. Very complimentary. I'll try again for Rosy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Subtle blush indeed! I love love this ELF's Matte Blush Duo!!! The shades are really nice and subtle ad it gives u a nice tan/color without being too obvious. I also like the lighter shade because I can double it as a mattifying powder for retouch before I apply the darker one. This a great buy for the value, price and effectiveness (last a long time!).

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Colors are very off I bought them thinking these would be nice peachy shades for my dark skin tone but they were too light not at all like the display picture

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great blush!! I wasn’t sure if I wanted to buy it because it looked so light but in person it’s way different. The other side the light side is more of a toner to tone down the blush but it’s really really pretty and it’s more of an everyday blush I’m so thankful I bought it!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice color and formula I really like the blushes. My only problem they do not match the picture that is shown. I got Rosy Flush since I am a Tan color. The pigmentation is there but I have to pack on a lot just for the pink to be more noticeable. The more lighter color is almost the shade of my concealear so I decided to use that as a touch up for under my eyes when they start to get oily while on the go.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lovely!!! I bought this on black friday and have now been using this for a couple months. Originally I was surprised that the shade I thought would be peach was beige coloured - who's that going to look good on!, but I enjoyed the red shade - it can be applied very subtle or deep. Then I experimented with the beige/yellow shade and now I am in love with it! It should be applied on the cheeks first (not on top of the rose shade) and it gives your skin such a soft glow! Then you can add the rose shade over it for a blush and your skin then looks so lovely and healthy and natural! I love this so much! It works so well. I've never seen anything like it. I will repurchase this. Please don't discontinue ELF!

Is this powder or cream based? Does it have shimmer?

Asked by: Gem435
This is a powder product and does not have shimmer - it is a matte finish.

Which palette would go best with darker skin?

Asked by: Yowe
I have a deeper skin tone and I think both of these blush sets can work for different purposes depending on how deep your skin tone is. The rosy flush set I think will work for most deeper skin tones to give a natural looking blush. It also can be built up for a more dramatic look. The soft and subtle set will work to give a natural looking blush as well on lighter deep tones. For skin tones more on the brown side like mine, the deeper side of the set can be used as face powder to set make up, as a natural contour or as a transition color for your eye makeup. The lighter side is very yellow based and is a very effective substitute for a banana powder to set your under eye highlight.
