Brush Shampoo is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 212.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from It's okay This is a good concept. However, you have to use a lot of the shampoo so it can lather. I did manage to get majority of the makeup off my brushes with minimal brush loss. I wish the bottle came in a larger size. Since it doesn't, I'll probably won't buy again and use baby shampoo instead.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very useful. There isn't much to say about a brush shampoo. It works and it's a lot less expensive that other similar products. It leaves my brushes soft and I haven't found that it leaves anything behind on the brushes to irritate my skin. Good product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love I use this once a week. I love that it's so affordable, and it gets the job done! I do have to wash my dense flat brush a couple times, but I use heavy concealer with it every day. It's expected to have to wash that brush more than my others.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works well This gets the job done, but I only gave it 4 stars because in order to get the brush clean you have to put the liquid over all the bristles - just putting a dab and then getting the lather on the rest of the bristles doesn't cut it. I didn't notice this until I used it to clean a sponge and only exactly where I put the shampoo got clean. Went back to my brushes and put the shampoo over all of it and voila - more eyeshadow came off!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love it! This shampoo it awesome! I wasn't expecting that it would clean as well as it did! There was so much make-up in my brushes, it was unbelievable! My brushes look better than they did when I first bought them. I will be coming back for more when I run out!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Didn't Work... I tried this shampoo over and over again but never has it actually CLEAN my brushes. I have tried it with eyeshadow, stippling, foundation, and blush brushes and it would not remove any of the makeup residue. I tried it with how they showed in the video (wetting the brush then using a generous amount of shampoo) but it did not work. Required at least 2 tablespoons of this crud to remove a smidge of excess makeup on brushes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing!!! I don't normally write reviews, but after watching a youtube video on how to clean your brushes, I decided it would be a good idea to get some brush cleaner and clean my brushes. I am already a fan of ELF products, and happened to come across this while looking at other ELF products at Target. I bought it and used it as soon as I got home. This stuff is amazing!!! It very easily got the powder out of my powder brush. It took a few washes to get it out of my foundation brush (because there was so much foundation in it), but it is like new now. My brushes are now clean & are super soft. This is by far my favorite ELF product. I have already told many people about how awesome it is!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from So So I had been using the CVS brand to clean my brushes which was totally awesome! i wanted to try this one so i did...i liked that i could pour a couple of drops to a bowl, add water, and soak the brushes for about five minutes before rinsing all at once...with the cvs i would do one by one using the spray though overall its ok you get 4.1 good amount of oz but i think ill switch back and forth between this and the CVS spray which is about $5

Rated 1 out of 5 by from JUST USE YOUR HAIR SHAMPOO/CONDITIONER I bought this product thinking I needed some kind of special "brush shampoo". I liked it at first. I find that I had to wash certain brushes multiple times to get the product off. When I switched over to Revlon Colorstay foundation I was convinced that I ruined my brush because I could NOT get the product off of my Ecotools buffing brush. Someone on Youtube mentioned cleaning their brushes with shampoo and conditioner. Not "brush shampoo" but just "shampoo". I hadn't thought of it. I always use natural, gentle, sulfate free, and organic shampoos and conditioners on my hair because I am so picky about what I put on my hair. I thought, if it's good enough for my hair, it's good enough for my makeup brushes. I tried my Alba Botanica shampoo on all my brushes and it worked wonders! My Ecotools buffing brush that I thought was trashed is clean and soft again. I even used some conditioner on it to work out the rest of the product and to condition the bristles. If you have synthetic or natural fibers in your brushes it doesn't matter. Just use a gentle shampoo! I recommend using something sulfate free as to not dry out your brushes (of your hair) Don't bother with this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cleans Brushes Thoroughly This shampoo is very good, cleans brushes thoroughly. I was amazed at how much product came off of my brushes the first time I used it. Before I purchased this, I read many reviews that said the bottle size was reduced by fifty percent so I thought it will be a tiny bottle. This isn't the case; the bottle is a good size for its price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Such a GREAT product! I bought this because I knew it was high time I invested in a brush shampoo. All of the at home remedies just was going to be more work than it was worth. The first night I used it, I was amazed and appalled at the amount of gunk that the shampoo got off the brushes. I sat there for about five minutes per brush cleaning and working on getting everything out. I love this and will be buying more once I'm out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An absolute MUST - HAVE! I have been using this product for over a year and it has not caused ANY damage to my brushes. My brushes are still intact with no shedding at all. This shampoo actually removes all of the makeup and dirt from my brushes with ease. This is a MUST-HAVE product for sanitation purposes and it's gentle!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I like :) I knew how important it was to wash your makeup brushes frequently, but I didn't do it too much, and when I did, it was with hand soap. I really enjoy this product, though. It makes my brushes smell nice, and the bristles are so soft afterward. I like that it is anti-bacterial, too. I try to wash my brushes once a week, and usually in the morning so they have 24 hours to dry, or on the weekend when I'm not planning on wearing makeup.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely love it! I've never clean my brushes before because I never knew what to use. I've recently become fascinated by all of elf products and decided that since i was buying so many brushes I might as well purchase the brush shampoo. It's amazing!!! You can see all of the old makeup that would be going on you face everytime you apply. So happy i got this! :)

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It's Okay I've been using this for about two weeks and I do like it. It does clean my brushes, but to get them full clean you need a lot of the shampoo. I think this shampoo has more water than any other ingredients. I won't be buying this and will try to make up my own formula.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Brush Cleaner! This is quite a great brush cleaner. Not only do I use this for my make up brushes, I also use it to clean my clarisonic and other skin cleansing brushes I use for my face and it works wonderfully. The only tiny complaint I would have is that it leaves my hands a little dry when I wash my brushes but I have really strange skin anyway.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I'm intrigued... I just opened this product and it was leaking from the get-go (it came in a box & plastic sealing). However, I really like the smell! I just applied to to my everyday makeup brushes. I don't normally wash them every day but I do wash them frequently. I washed them yesterday, anticipating the shampoos arrival, and thought I cleaned them well.... This shampoo worked much better! I was amazed with how much makeup came off with this shampoo! I was sad that it leaked, hope that it lasts longer than I think 2 oz. will, and LOVE how well it cleans my brushes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly What I Needed I was amazed at how much product this shampoo got out of my brushes. The shampoo feels like shampoo you'd use in your hair, meaning the consistency is not too thick which makes it easy to wash the brushes. I've never bought brush shampoo so I have nothing with which to compare it but I am a happy customer, especially when I consider how much I paid for it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So tiny yet so good I never washed my brushes and when I did they never really cleaned (which is why i didnt). Since I just bought new brushes, and from elf, I decided to take care of them and not let the liquids stiffen up.This shampoo really does work. I was surprised that it got all the product out. I thought a little would work but ended up needing to use some more. Don't overload though. I am already buying another since this is so small and I will now use makeup everyday.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Ummm Well, I bought this and i wasnt impressed. It worked just fine but lasted about 2 weeks. I do wash a couple of my favorite brushes almost every day because I am a makeup artist. But I will tell you an easier way. First get some extra virgin olive oil, an antibacterial dish soap like dawn or Palmolive, and a shampoo(i recommend shampoo for color treated hair or baby shampoo, anything gentle). and a astitergent (optional) Take an empty bottle like a seasoning or medicine bottle. fill it about 40% full of shampoo(this is for cleaning and easier to store) Then add the soap till its about 80% full (this cleans the brushes with antibacterial power and it gets all the stuff out that the shampoo cant) Lastly fill the rest of it with the olive oil (the soap is harsh on brushes so this fixes what the soap did) Mix all that together and use that to wash your brushes at least once a week. It should be cheaper and you can make as much as you want. For the daily brush cleaner put rubbing alcohol in some sort of spray bottle. (mine is in a washed out perfume bottle) hope this helped c:

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Good Does what it suppose to, no harshness because i saw no shedding like i did before. Worth it. And cleanses very good i like to apply the product before the water so the product really can do its job.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great brush shampoo I mainly got this to use on my liquid foundation brush, and it works great! It got all the makeup out of my brush that regular soap didn't. I ended up using this on all my brushes, and it make them all very soft. It also gives me peace of mind that all my brushes are free of any built up, pore-clogging makeup. I will definitely be buying this product again.
