Rated 4 out of 5 by from Near Daily use for a liner amateur. The original reason I bought this was because it was not expensive and I needed to practice putting on liquid eyeliner. Eventually I just started using this as my daily, nothing special liner when I need it.Applicator: It's pretty good. I've tried so many liquid eyeliner products over the years from $1 to at least $20s and I can say this one is still one of the easiest to use for me. Every now and then as you get down to the bottom of the container the brush starts getting a little crazy. I've fixed that with some scissors, though honestly for the price, I could just go get another bottle instead of being cheap and using it until it dries out.Formula: It's a pretty wet formula that is relatively forgiving. It glides on pretty quick and I can usually do the majority of my eye in one dunk. It takes a while to dry (like 30 seconds, which seems like forever), and I occasionally forget this getting wonderful transfer. Ones it dries I haven't had it move too much (it isn't waterproof, so if my eyes start watering, bye bye liner). Also, unlike some formulations, because this one is thin, it doesn't make speed bumps when it goes over a tiny bit of loose skin on the corner of my eyelids.Color: The midnight is Blue-black, meaning that it might be hard to tell the difference. I like it and it gives your eye a different look. The black is way black and goes down in one coat. It note super matte, but it doesn't really have a shine to it. If this were wall paint, I'd say more like an eggshell. Charcoal and Coffee I've only used one tube of each. They just don't go with my style. I like a really dark lash line. Black is the one I go through the most.Staying Power: For me it does wear down if I'm just wearing it with shadow and not false lashes. Usually it looks great for about 5 hours then starts to fade a bit. On the edge of false lashes (to cover the band) it doesn't wear down as bad. I've had it transfer a few times, but probably because my eyes were tearing up.All in all this is one of my near daily products despite the fact that I'm still an amateur in liner. I just got a new tube the other day and whipped up some not-so-bad cat eyes this weekend.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from ELF WHY DID YOU CHANGE THE FORMULA????? Omg I used to love this eyeliner but Elf changed the formula, now its so runny and watery that it drips like tears & leaks into the inner corner of my eye and looks like I have black watery eyes, it's so terrible.I've used this many many times without a problem, but last 2 purchases have been misses. Elf changed the formula. I don't care for Elf makeup except I Own almost every Elf face brush, and love them so much, they're comparable to Sigma and other great foundation brushes. Elf really makes the best brushes. I'm picky with makeup but loved their liquid eyeliner (comparable or better then other drugstore brands at better low price) but now I'm going to have to go back to Loreal for my liquid eyeliner. Paying less isn't better when it's smears and dosnt stay on. Elf please change back to less runny formula!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Dislike I bought this and it isn't easy to apply. I end up with a bunch of liner on when I wanted a smooth line. Will not buy again

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for low price I really needed a dark liner, and purchased this based on the low price (and my familiarity with elf). For $2, the liner does what it should. The long-lasting quality is amazing; even with my makeup wipes, the formula takes a bit of scrubbing to come off completely. The only frustrating part is if you swipe on a line, and try to make it darker/add a second stroke immediately on top of it the stiff brush will create a line in your original liner (not a deal breaker: all you have to do is wait for each coat to dry before you go in and adjust). Pros: low price, great dark color, doesn't come off easily (rubbed my eyes a few times and it didn't budge), and non-irritating Cons: sort of difficult/time-consuming application

Rated 1 out of 5 by from be cautious Really wanted to like this liner but have a few issues. I got the charcoal color unaware it has glitter in it. So when you remove there will be glitter all over your face which I am not cool with. Second it made my eyes burn and my eyes were irritated for a few days after. Last it takes forever to dry so if you blink it will get on your lid.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good! This liner goes on solid and stays there. I didn't have any issues with it being streaky or taking several applications to get a solid line. Didn't budge or smudge the entire day and night.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The greatest eyeliner for the price I only ever use liquid liner. I've tried all the drug store cosmetic liquid liners as well as Sephora's and this is honestly the best and for such a great price. I don't have the running/smudge issue that a lot of other reviews have. Once it's on, it's stuck unless I happen to run a wet finger over it because it's not waterproof. I recommend this eyeliner to anyone who likes liquid liner.
