Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do Not Buy This Product I am not a mascara snob but I can honestly say this is The Worst mascara I have ever worn. The brush is fine but the formula is terrible. It glues lashes together in a clumpy mess and IT DOES NOT COME OFF. I have tried water, coconut oil, and physical force and this mascara is still glued on.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from New Formula + New Brush = TERRIBLE! When I decided to kick my expensive mascara habit, I went searching for dupes that could give me something equivalent to my beloved YSL Babydoll. That led me to e.l.f. At 1/10th the cost, what did I have to lose? I immediately loved the results and burned through at least half a dozen tubes before recently picking up the "New Formula!" version. One word: GARBAGENot even worth the $3! (Or even $2.40 if you use a 20% off coupon at BB&B.) It's thick, clumpy and the brush is a NIGHTMARE! I happened to still have my brush from the old formula and finally, begrudgingly, dipped that one into the new formula. Even the old brush couldn't tame the gloppy mess that came out. And not only that, the "New Formula!" comes with different threads on the cap, so I have to muscle the old brush in and out in order to seal it up tight after each disappointing use. Mascara has always been my single favorite beauty product, and applying it has always made me happy as a final step. Not anymore. So glad to know I'm not alone, but so disappointed to realize I will need to find something new.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not Clumpy and Overall Average Mascara This mascara is pretty average in comparison to other mascaras I've tried. It does not clump and is easy enough to apply, although your lashes can get pretty thick pretty fast if you aren't paying attention. It compares to my NYX Propel My Eyes mascara which is around $7. It is pretty impressive to have a quality $3 mascara, so I do have to give ELF props for that, however, I think I will be falling back on other mascaras for daily use.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bring back the old brush and the old formula! Chiming in to agree that I miss the old formula and especially the old brush! This was my go-to mascara and now I'm back out there searching again. New brush is large and messy, and the new formula smudges and flakes. Disappointed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from New formula and brush - Hate it!!! I have been using this mascara for years! But this new formula is horrible. Not only is the mascara itself new they changed the brush!! The new formula is very wet and the brush DOES NOT separate the lashes at all. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE go back to the old version. Why change it if it's not broke......

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love the new formula and brush I might be the only one, but I love the new formula! I prefer a traditional brush over a plastic brush. The new brush gives me volume that the old one never did. I have straight, thin, long lashes. This mascara actually holds a curl! The formula itself doesn't seem to be that different than the old one. I've found that with both formulas, it's best to comb your lashes out before it dries to avoid any clumping. However, I find that my eyelashes don't stick together nearly as much as the old formula; I no longer have spider lashes. The color black also seems darker than the old formula, which is great because my lashes are blonde. My only con is that it still smudges under my eye a bit, but every mascara does on me. All in all, I'm very happy with this mascara!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from E.L.F. destroyed the beautiful original formula I have been using the new formula, and the longer I use it, the more I am so disappointed. I loved the original formula. I raved about it, and quit buying expensive mascaras from Sephora. I shared my love of this mascara with many. The new formula has me in the market for a new mascara. I dislike it so much, that I will be returning it for a $3 refund. The new formula clumps. It is sticky. It does not dry fast, so it ends up above my eyelid after applying. It is much harder to remove when I wash my face. And, the brush/wand is a step down. It also appears that it may have damaged some of my lashes, because for the first time there is a gap in my lashes. Also, if anything presses against your lashes, the lashes stick together, and cannot be separated unless you happen to have a lash comb and time to mess with it. I do not like anything about the new formula.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from bring back old formula/brush The old formula was a HG item for me. I prefered it over $30 mascaras. It applied easily with no clumps or smudging. This revised formula is just yuck.
