Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bristles are too soft The bristles on the brush are too soft to pick up any product. Does not work with a powder highlighter.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The one thing ELF never gets right I've owned quite a few of ELF's brushes. I don't think there are very many ELF brushes I haven't used. So I like their brushes, especially the Beautifully Precise Face Brushes. But every style of brush that has a fan brush has a rather lame fan brush. There are not nearly enough bristles to make them dense enough. They are all too thin. I think they'll come out with an Ultimate Fan Brush that's about $12 one of these days. But right now, whether part of a set or alone like this one the fan brushes are terrible.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Meh. The brush was soft, which you think would be good but it was too soft for my liking. It didn't pick up any product and was too thin.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome fan brush This is the brush that introduced me to E.L.F.!! Folks NO, it's NOT per se an allover highlighting brush and why you'd post a bad review because of your lack of insight just boggles my mind! Search YouTube for makeup brushes or read the descriptions, ask a few questions, but for good gravy's sake, don't knock a great $3 brush from your lack of insight; furthermore, I'm sure ELF would exchange your mistake, but c'mon.. $3.... This brush is great for removing fallout from eyeshadow and mascara applications and I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world!! It's also great for applying small areas with a gentle sweep of highlighter or bronzer. I sometimes add a touch of bronzer as a blush contour when going from work to an evening out. Please note, I did NOT type I wholeheartedly and zealously brush highlighter or bronzer in every perceivable nook and cranny known to me and my magnifying makeup mirror... "A GENTLE SWEEP....."

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not for Highlighting I bought this brush a couple months ago to use with my anastasia glow kit. I was disappointed to find the brush hardly picks up any product at all! Use for dusting away eye makeup, but NOT for highlighting. Buy one of the other highlighting brushes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Soft fan perfect for dusting off my face I got this in the entire brush collection and had no idea what to do with it. Yes, it's very soft and "thin" but it turns out to be perfect for brushing off all the loose powder and eyeshadow that ends up out of place when I finish putting on my face. In fact, I use it for that purpose exclusively and I'm here to get another because I've misplaced it and realized that none of my other brushes will work as well as the fan brush.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Don't buy this for highlighter I bought this to use with powder highlighter about 2 months. I think many people have bought this planning to use it with highlighter as well. The bristles are sparse and flimsy and does not pick up much product so it will definitely not work for highlighter, but I do use it occasionally to brush away setting powder or fallout from eyeshadow from beneath my eyes just because I have it. But would not re-purchase.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from nah Bought this a while ago and I've tried to make it work but I really don't like it. The brush is soft (almost too soft), so much so that it doesn't pick up and disperse enough product. It's also really flimsy as well. If you're looking for a good highlighter brush, I would recommend the small tapered brush! It's my go-to for highlighter.
