Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good stuff I bought the lid primer in cocoa out of curiosity and was pleasantly surprised. It works well as a base on my skin (I'm 360 in Fenty for reference). I've used it daily since receiving it and haven't had any issues. I do have oily lids and I find that after about 7 hours it does start to fail. I haven't tried setting my lids after priming because it's not that serious to me, but I feel like that would be a quick and easy fix if you are concerned about the staying power.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Wow! For $2 I thought this would suck, but it's awesome! It doesn't crease and I don't have to set it. Glitter sticks well, even though it doesn't make my powder eyeshadow skip. Sheer is actually pretty pigmented(which is good) I was pleasantly surprised with this formula. Great job ELF!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product I use this daily, usually under aqua liquid molten beauty eyeshadow. To cut right to the chase, when using this my eyeshadow looks the same at 5:00 pm as it did at 5:00 am when I applied it. Very easy to apply and eyeshadow glides easily over it. Will purchase again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I have bought this twice. My sister said it was pointless and I could use regular concealer for eyelid primer, but this works well for me! The makeup seems to stick better. I don’t really use other regular eyelid primers, but using this one seems worth it, especially for the price. I used sheer, and it has a creamy formula. Only downfall is it’s hard to get formula out sometimes because it gets stuck to the sides.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not worth a penny Not only is there not a lot of product in the tube, the colour cocoa is far from cocoa brown. It's an odd dusty grey-brown that dies down to the colour of charcoal. It doesn't increase the longevity or opacity or vibrancy of shadows. If you are applying a wash of colour, you'll get a duller version of the colour undertone due to the grey undertone added by applying this primer

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Bad I bought this like 3 weeks ago and just got around to using it. Not only does it make my eyeshadow look mucky it also starts to clump toghether like when you run dry glue. It also turned my eyelid white. Pretty dissapointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Base for Eyes This is a pretty nice eyeshadow base. It smoothes out nicely on the eyelid without feeling too greasy. Eyeshadows blend well on top without having to set the primer with powder. It does not seem to do much for the longevity of the eyeshadows, but it does enhance the colors a bit more than on bare skin alone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Way better formula , lasts and holds Yeeeears ago I used the original primer when they only had sheer. And had noticed a decline in quality. I recently passed an ELF store in my mall and an employee recommended this to me in tan. I was definitely skeptical but if you are tan too deep it really does cancel out imperfections in the lids and the way it dries it's not sticky or slippery it's velvety with a grip it really HOLDS on to the eyeshadow. This has not regained it's spot back on my HG LIST. for reference I'm an NC44/45 IN MAC foundation

Is this primer goes on matte or shimmery? I read some reviews that says glittery, so I want to ask people who has used it before: does it look glittery after it is dried?

Asked by: cathy45
The only one that's glittery is the pearl.

what is the purpose of the difference in the colors?

I'm assuming the different shades are meant for different skin tones. Sheer, tan, and cocoa are probably for light, medium, and darker skin tones and meant to be used as a primer base that would match the skin, probably good for lighter more natural eyeshadows and the pearl which is white would help to make other more unnatural colors pop but pearl could also be used for all colors of course. But some people may want to use a primer that matches their skin

Do any of the shads tint your eyelid?

Asked by: helen366
I've only used the sheer one and it won't interfere with any shadow if you give it some seconds to dry

I don't know whether i should get sheer or pearl, which one works best for pale skin?

Asked by: Freya G
I've only tried the sheer in this product. Personal I think it still had some creaseing to it. I'm also very pale but could almost use it for eye concelor. My thing is it still had a crease. Also I think all the eyeshadow faded just as fast as before almost .but I've only tried sheer .i love elf products and services and use lots of them I believe in a true review.

Does this primer hide creepiness in eyes over 60?

Asked by: Beeb
Truthful no I have used the sheer which is a light color I'm very pale and light in color and could almost use it as an eye concealer. I don't know about other colors but have read in reviews that all but sheer have some irrderference in them also I really like most of the elf products Ive tried but this also left some crease for me. After a while.

I'm confused, in description area it says to apply to fingertip, yet there's an applicator. Do u put it on your finger from applicator vs dabbing some on finger from bottle? I'd think if using applicator, the bottle would eventually get "germy" inside

Asked by: Rumeur
Apply with applicator attached to product then blend in with fingers once on eyelid.
