Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smooth base. Easy to use, good for all skin types I have oily eyelids, and this product is a lifesaver. The price is excellent, and the quality is as good as the expensive brands. I use it every day and still have a good bit left. I have been using the one for 7 months now!!! I don’t have to use much at all, and I wear a lot of eye shadow and glitter. I am attaching pictures to show how vibrant and smooth my eyeshadow looks. I’ve only been doing my makeup for 7 months, so I attribute the color strength and the smoothness of my eyeshadow (wet n wild and Revolution London) to the base this primer provides. If ELF had wild eyeshadow colors, I would have bought those instead of the other brands. This primer can be use under any eyeshadow including just straight glitter. I also use it even if I am just doing a simple eyeliner. In the pictures where I just have liner on, I have the primer on to smooth my eyelid, stick the eyeliner, and keep my eyelids from being oily.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really works! Keeps eyeshadow on all day! I really like this product. It really works at keeping eyeshadow on all day. Have to apply and let dry (while eyelids are related and not creased. I have to make sure to not let the setting mist get on my eyeshadow other wise it won't last all day.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does something weird to my skin (patchiness) I’m new to makeup and had seen someone on YouTube recommend this primer, so I tried it out. However, it leaves my eyelids looking really dry and patchy, and it seems hard to blend out evenly across the eyelid. When I use concealer as an eyeshadow primer, I don’t get this type of result. Not sure if I just bought a bad batch of this primer, but I went ahead and threw it away (which I hate to do) :/ Super great price, just didn’t work super well for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Locks in Shadow This is the best eyelid primer I have ever used and beats high end products every time. Applies so easily to a satiny finish. Eyeshadow just glides so easily over this. Dries down quickly and does not budge (neither does the eyeshadow). No need to powder for better staying power, this product needs no help. I even prefer this to the "putty" eyelid primer (although that's great, too). The sheer color helps to emphasize pastel shadows.

Does this primer hide creepiness in eyes over 60?

Asked by: Beeb
I'm 63 yrs. old & have been using this product in sheer for years. I find that it helps hide crepey skin on lids by evening out the skin tone. Sheer is a flat, matte light beige. It hides discolorations & makes the eye shadow color pop.

Do any of the shads tint your eyelid?

Asked by: helen366
The sheer is a matte, light beige. I find that it lightens & brightens the eyelids by evening out any discoloration. It does not change the color of your eye shadow.

Is this primer goes on matte or shimmery? I read some reviews that says glittery, so I want to ask people who has used it before: does it look glittery after it is dried?

Asked by: cathy45
The sheer is matte -- no shimmer at all.

Is the Pearl shade white or translucent?

Asked by: Juls28
white with a ***sheen***. It's NOT glitter...idk why everyone keeps saying it is lol

what is the purpose of the difference in the colors?

I'm assuming the different shades are meant for different skin tones. Sheer, tan, and cocoa are probably for light, medium, and darker skin tones and meant to be used as a primer base that would match the skin, probably good for lighter more natural eyeshadows and the pearl which is white would help to make other more unnatural colors pop but pearl could also be used for all colors of course. But some people may want to use a primer that matches their skin
