The tapered head of the Small Tapered Brush makes application easy for reaching small crevices for a flawless finish. This precision brush is perfect for contouring and creating even coverage. Use with powder to set under the eye, on the hollows of the cheek to contour with bronzer, or use with foundation to achieve a light finish. This cruelty-free brush is made with 100% animal hair-free, synthetic bristles.

A cheekbone's best friend
I'm going along with a lot of the reviews for this brush by saying that it is absolutely perfect for contouring and highlighting. The slight point at the tip of the bristles allow for very precise color application, and then it gets wider and fluffier so you can blend it all out. It's great for dark contouring and it's also great for sweeping highlight along the cheekbones, and it can also be used for blush as well. Basically, if you plan on contouring your face at any time in the near future, you'd best purchase this brush because I have yet to find any one that's better for the price.

Nothing like the picture advertised!
I was so excited to receive this brush after seeing many good reviews about it. The brush I received is not 'tapered' in any way. Also, the brush I received is slightly angled at the tip. So disappointed.

Love for Undereyes setting powder!
i use this for my undereyes to set my concealer and i love it! i have dry skin and i try not to use so much powder and the brush gives a nice natural lightweight look! i highly recommend!

Cant rave enough about this brush!
I’ve had this brush for years and it’s holding up amazingly. It’s the perfect size to set makeup under the eyes and around the mouth. It’s super soft and one of my favourite brushes. Picks up product easily and doesn’t shed any hair or get weird after washing. I have several backups up this brush because it’s just that good! Great for powder, blush, bronzer and even highlight

Perfect fluffy brush

Very nice brush!
I bought this to use with the sheer HD powder. It's very soft, picks up powder well, and it dries quickly after washing.

Perfect size & density for setting under eyes
I adore this brush. It's the perfect size and bristle density to set under neath the eye area. The bristles are soft so they don't irritate this sensitive area, but they are just dense enough to pick up a good amount of powder without wasting product. I have a $30 brush from another brand that is basically the same thing as this, but I always find myself reaching for this one instead. This brush is also well made - I have had one or two ELF brushes in the past that had a shoddy glue job or the bristles came out too easily, but I have not had any problems like that with this one.

Broke right away
The brush broke the day I received it when I was trying it out for the first time. The handle completely detached from the ferrule. I may have received a defective one. Elf agreed to send me a new one but it's been months and I haven't received anything... even though this was cheap, it was still a waste of money.

Why are some brushes people received not tapered like in the picture?

Mine was not all that tapered either. But it seemed to work fine using the elf baked blush in Pinktastic. Sometimes during the re-stocking/ re-manufacturing process, there may be variations in machine settings. This will cause different shaped brushes than the original.
