Decent enough
I received this product for free in exchange for my review. I love elf products and use many of them! However, this one fell short for me. While the eyeliner does go on relatively smooth, I hate that it’s a pencil and doesn’t come with a sharpener. We’ve come a long way in the beauty world and it felt like this didn’t get the memo. It’s also not very long lasting, which is a major bummer for me.

colour is a bit odd
i got this in Brownie Points. the formula is amazing, staying power is great. it smudges a little if you blend it out but i find it doesnt transfer to my upper eyelid or outer corner which is great. the only thing is the colour looks so weird on me! i'm pretty pale with cool/neutral toned skin and it makes me look like i'm bleeding from the eyes.. it's quite a warm brown with reddish undertones. a little offputting on me so i'll give it to a friend but when i run out of my black kohl i'll be getting this in black!

takes me back to the early 2000's
If you were in high school in the early 2000's or the 2010's then this product will feel nostalgic. thanks to ELF for gifting me the smokey kohl liner for me to try. this classic wooden kohl pencil and is easily smudgeable when applied. unfortunately, now in 2025, we have super long wear stay products, and this is not one of them. my eyes are more hooded, and it slightly transferred to my eyelid. however for $3?! It's definitely worth $3, but dont expect it to wear all day.

Amazing !!!
I must say that I was impressed! I love to line my waterline but can have sensitive eyes and skin so I can only use certain products. This eyeliner went on smoothly, didn’t leave irritation, and stayed on for longer than most eyeliners that I have tried! Great color and texture!
