I picked up three of these from Ulta and have been using them everyday to get a full feel for the product and formula. First off, the packaging is minimalist and utilitarian. A lightweight plastic cylinder that is clear. You can immediately reach for your desired color in the morning while getting ready for work because it is visible through the cap. The product does have a slight scent, not a cookie scent like most products, but it is a slight scent. The lipstick goes on smoothly. Completely opaque. Not patchy. You will need to reapply after eating, drinking and kissing. Does not have a weird taste. Definitely need to use a lip-liner, but that is the case for most lipsticks. The wear time was decent and my lips felt nourished, it is not a matte lipstick, not a gloss but a true satin lippie. Now, the colors? Oh my word. I am going to pick up more. I am in love with Taffy. It reminds me of the Too Faced Christmas collection gingerbread melted matte color. Just gorgeous!! For this price, you just can't go wrong. So, if you can get past the packaging and just focus on the product I think you will be extremely pleased. Highly recommend picking these up.

Pepper is beautiful!
For $3 I wasn’t expecting much, but I just came back to stock up after one usage! I got so many compliments as it paired well with my fair/medium skin, blonde hair & blue eyes! It’s lasted all night even after eating and drinking! Barely feathering after eating with little transfer to cup from drinking! A lip liner would have helped, but I also used primer spray to set it! Love!

its a pretty typical formula. natural satin finish and good color payoff. i really liked the shade nectar which was like a medium burnt peach. not moisturizing nor drying

Nice finish for a lipstick
I don't typically wear lipstick as I prefer more moisturizing products like tinted lip balms. I got one of the SRSLY Satin lipsticks included with an order a couple of years ago and I actually really like it. I typically wear it over a lip balm and this lipstick on top makes my lips look very smooth and full. It's already a couple of years old and it's still performing as good as new.

I just found out the e.l.f. no longer produces the universally flattering lipstick shade "Ravishing Rose"! Very disappointed about that, however; Can someone please recommend the next closest shade in the e.l.f.arsenal? Thanks!
