Amazing!
This stuff is amazing if you take the time to learn how to apply it. I followed the advice of an earlier reviewer and put it on very sparingly and slowly, dabbing it on carefully. Then I style my hair and do other beauty tasks, giving it time to dry completely. When I am ready to do my makeup, I apply my primer/moisturizing serum on top of the wrinkle refiner, followed by liquid foundation which glides on easily if you follow these steps. I am 44 and use it on a couple of areas of concern, and they simply become nonexistent after this treatment. An earlier reviewer said it wasn't good for dark skin, but I disagree; I'm African-American with deep brown skin and it looks beautiful if applied lightly and correctly. Ladies, just take your time and find what works for you, maybe on top of makeup for some people?, and you will find this very effective. I've tried a ton of expensive stuff and am amazed at how well this works at this price. Cheers!

Hmm. I am not sure about this product ... yet.
I tried this product over my primer and it went on nicely and I did see some of the fine lines around my eyes fade; however, I then went about my makeup application and applied foundation and powder. I was not thrilled with the finished results. The areas where I had applied the wrinkle refiner were patchy looking and I could not seem to buff or blend the patches out with either my finger (gentle pats and light circles) nor with my stipple or concealer brushes. So, as it stands, I cannot use it under foundation. BUT I will try it over primer and go with a natural no makeup look and see how it improves the appearance of fine lines. I will also try it on top of foundation but something tells me there is a chemical incompatibility with this product and typical foundations otherwise there would not be such unusual results (patches, peeling, etc.) If I cannot find a way to make this refiner work, that is okay. For the price, it was well worth the try. And the good thing is it seems to be a smash hit with some ladies which is great! I hope it works for you!

My favorite elf product
This product helps blur down my "tear trough" under the eyes wonderfully. I apply it lightly after everything else, even setting spray, and it helps me look much better. I bought a bunch of tubes when it was being discontinued, and I get uneasy as I use up my stash. It's better than all the other blurs and line fillers I've used, at least for my purpose.

It smells bad and it doesn't do much
For the cheap price, I'm not mad at it. But I don't think it does much. Perhaps the wrinkles under my eyes are a tiny bit less noticeable but they are still very much present. The product smells kind of nasty though and it's hard to use. You have to turn the bottom so it clicks a bunch and hold the thing upside down until product starts coming out. The first time I used it I had to turn and turn and then and nothing... until a whole bunch of product came out all at once. So I would not recommend this, but like I said, I'm not mad at it either. It's just that the results are not worth the trouble in my opinion. Also do not use this over your foundation. It just takes it off. Use it before foundation.

Not good
If I could give it no stars I would. The product just comes off over time and balls up.

I tried. I really tried.
This stuff worked as advertised, that's literally the only reason I'm giving a 2nd star. I was quite impressed with how well it smoothed everything. Like many other reviews say (which I unfortunately did not read prior to purchase, however I got it on sale for only $1.50 so, nbd), I could not get this stuff to cooperate under my makeup to save my life. I used a small amount and waited until it felt dry to the touch before applying anything else, about 10min. I tried with and without primer. Different primers. I tried applying my tinted moisturizer every which way, in varying amounts. But no matter what I did, it resulted in splotchy weirdness that cannot be remedied. Gotta wipe off entirely and redo. Not much of a fan of the texture either, it comes out a thicker liquid then turns into a thick paste. ItIf it takes longer than a 10min waiting period in order for this stuff to not screw up my makeup, then it's not for me. My makeup routine takes long enough as is lol. Glad I'm not out much money!

It works
So I had to see if this product worked for 4 bucks...and it does! Turn the tube upside down and twist . It takes several turns. I leave it on my counter with despenser end down. After you moisturizer and before foundation. Let it absorb 2 or 3 minutes. It will smooth and fill perfectly. I like it but you do need to tap into skin completely. I gave it a 4 star because of the container. Would love to see this in a pot container.

Disappointed
First, as others hav said, you have to twist for a VERY long tiem to get any product to coe out. The product is sticky and did not really do anything to hide my wrinkles, which are not very deep. It alos made me break out around the upper lip area.

Engineered Poorly
After purchasing 3 tubes it has taken me almost a month to figure out how the mechanics of the stick works. If you twist it upside down aggressively a few times it comes out and wll essentially prime the applicator.

Can this be used to prevent wrinkles from forming? Or is it just for blurring?
the elf team

This does not prevent wrinkles, it smooths by filling in small lines, and soothes your skin.

How the heck do you get it out of the applicator? I’m twisting and twisting and nothing comes out.

This happens frequently only when you try to use it the first time. The application tube gets clogged. I run it under hot water for a few seconds with the silicone applicator removed. Then I use a safety pin to clear the opening. It usually will burst out_ then you are good to go for the rest of the tube. Sounds like a lot but it only takes a few seconds.

Liked this product & noticed it did help blur wrinkles when used alone. However, it just seems to cake up into a goopy mess under any kind of make-up i use (primer, foundation, powder) & just rubs off. Any tricks? what am i doing wrong?

LESS IS MORE...and it does work better with water base vs oil foundation. Use a sponge or silicone pad to PAT, not rub any spots that look heavy.

I have bad creases around my mouth area from smiling. My foundation covers this well but as the day progresses and I smile throughout the day these creases seep through, will this be of any use to help me?
the elf team
Yes, absolutely this will help. Use a small amount and rub in one direction approximately 20 times after you have applied any makeup to the area. Watch the lines fade. You may need to reapply after several hours.
