Rated 3 out of 5 by Krystlej from I love the colors I love the colors, but it is difficult to pick up, you have to scrap it to get ti loose before you can pick it up. I also wish that the colors were labeled, e.g: grey, bronze, natural etc.

Rated 3 out of 5 by BTurner from I am definitely conflicted with this palette. The actual casing and quality of this product is very very poor, it feels cheap and disappointing, it does not apply on the brush easily and was a struggle. However, if you use your finger the pigment comes of beautifully and gives your eye a stunning look

Rated 4 out of 5 by Shellbee323 from Good product! I received this palette in the color California. I had some difficulty working with it at first, which after reading other people's reviews, it seems to be a common problem. But there is actually a very simple solution. The shadow is pack down hard so brushes barely get any product on them. So instead I tried using my finger to put it on then used the brush the blend it. And it is so pigmented! It is my go to for finishing up my eyeshadow.

Rated 1 out of 5 by HaleyF from Horrible Quality Just received my order after almost a month. The eyeshadow is encredibly hard to get out of the palette, ecspecially because it is raised and baked. You can’t get any pigment from the palette, although the colors were nice. Do not buy this. It basically doesn’t work. Too bad because I wasted 10 dollars and the colors were pretty.

Rated 5 out of 5 by theITgirl from Here's the secret... Okay, I bought the NYC palette thinking if I scrape the top layer off everything will be fine. That worked for some eye shadows. But then I remember a makeup tip where you Spitz some Makeup Mist on an eye shadow brush before dipping it to the eye-shadow, the pigment is a lot more noticeable. WoW! That trick worked out better then expected! All the colors in the palette became bold and lasted past midnight! Highly recommend this if you're willing to put a little work by 1) scrape off the top layer & 2) Spritz makeup mist on the brush before dipping it into the eye shadow palette. I used the ELF Makeup mist and set.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Brii434 from Not Great I got this as a gift with purchase and it's not even worth that. I absolutely love Elf products but this is the worst. I took the spooly trick by scratching the top layer off but there so inconsistent. Using a brush you might get a few flecks of glitter in some shades. Some shades work if you scrub it with your finger but it's not worth it. The long black pallete are great and even the little ones that come in white/clear packaging .

Rated 1 out of 5 by Stace8574 from No pigmentation I got this as one of my free gifts with order and there is no pigmentation to this shadow. I tried just using the brush and get the powder on and using the brush handle to scrape the powder off I even tried adding water and there was still no colour when I applied to my eye

I have tried to apply some of these shades to my lid and it doesn't really seem to appear pigmented. Why is this the case? Do I need to do anything special?
Everyone is saying to wet your brush and/or the shadow itself

I truly love these baked eyeshadows. I can have some shimmer in a professional setting and still look professional. I use this in the Toast daily. But I would like to know, are your products, or any of the ingredients, tested on animals?
Please note that none of our products are tested on animals.

People have said to wet the brush to get more pigment out of the baked eye shadows but, at the risk of sounding stupid, what are you supposed to wet your brush with? Water? I don't know what I'm doing
wet a q-tip with water and rub it on the shadow round then apply
