Beautifully Bare Luminous Matte Makeup Primer is rated 3.6 out of 5 by 61.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Trying new primersI I have seen a lot of negative reviews about it being greasy and not so good smelling. I'm in my 40's and have dry skin and worse now in Winter months I found this primer to be hydrating and my makeup stayed all day. If there is a smell it is not that noticeable I haven't had anyone tell me my face smells bad. I'm impressed by the cost and works fine on my dry/to many other issues to name skin:-)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This was my first primer that I bought and I made a good choice. My foundation goes on smoothly and my face doesn’t feel dry.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Wears off & causes yellow undertones Item wears off quickly on high heat areas, cheeks and nose. It also does not mix well with other makeup, causing yellow undertones. Smells a bit!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I got mine about 2 months ago. It has really helped my skin. I am 64 years old so my skin needs additional help. I have very dry skin now. I have tried many products in the last 15 years. This may be a little to rich for the younger women, but mine is just right. You might let your Moms or Grandmoms know about this product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don’t waste your money I bought this and in doing so I basically threw away $10 in the trash. This is so oily and smells horrible.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from oily it literally feels like rubbing oil/grease all over your face. whether you have oily or dry skin, youll hate it. its heavy and should not be used under makeup if you actually want it to look good

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Feels like lotion I don't like primers that feel like silicone. This one does have that in it , but feels more like a lotion going on. So far I am really liking this primer . I will buy it again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not so good for me!! I bought this not long ago and I hated it. It smelled awful. I still tried it after the smell. I was so oily within about a hour. I have a new tube that was definitely not worth $10 and I will be pitching it. #wastedmycoins. Don't buy it.

Can this be used as an eyeshadow primer

Asked by: Junior99
I would say no. Eyeshadow primers and face primers usually do different things to the area they are applied and I don't think eyeshadow would go over the top of it very well. Could just be my opinion of it but I don't think it would work out too well in my experience. Try taking some of your concealer up there instead of a face primer!

I thought dimethicone primers were bad for dry skin like mine, and this has dimethicone in it. Does it actually work for super dry skin?

Asked by: Kat6
Dimethicone is good for dry skin. I have a skin disorder that makes my skin more dry than most anyone and all of my lotions contain dimethicone. It is also in cosmetics so their ingredients go on smoothly.

How is this for oily skin?

Asked by: Wendizzy81
I would recommend this product for drier skin types. I think it could work on combination skin types, but maybe apply with a bit of a lighter hand (as to not apply too much).

Do you use this in place of a regular moisturizer? Or apply after the moisturizer?

Asked by: flasunshinegirl
I would use this after applying your moisturizer. Just allow your moisturizer to soak in for a few minutes before applying.

Which one of the e.l.f. primer's is most like Benefit's Porefessional Primer, which is, in mho, THE BEST!

Asked by: mjd7
Honestly, I would say e.l.f tone adjusting primer in lavender. I both the Benefit and that and they are very similar in consistency. I actually prefer the e.l.f. one because the lavender does seem to help brighten a good deal. My makeup goes on really well and it stays that way all day.

How about the staying power of this foundation? Will it last all day?

Asked by: Lucky502
If you ever used there other Primers that they have, it is the same as them. Their $6.00 primers are just as good as this $10.00 one in my opinion.
