Rated 1 out of 5 by from Why’s there glitter in it?.... I understand that this is supposed to make your skin look luminous but GLITTER doesn’t achieve that :\

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pretty glow Been looking for an Illuminating, glowy primer a while and this is the one! At least as a drugstore option... it is more shimmery than I thought but still subtle and glowy on the skin. Actually has a soft matte finish, smoothes your skin but not oily, sticky, or tacky. Really like under light foundation or alone for a glowing skin. It is nice for everyday. The packaging Andy pump is super convenient too!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Creates glowing base I use this primer on a daily basis! Use a small amount for full face coverage. With foundation on top, it really does give you very slight glowy skin, in sunlight I've had my boyfriend tell me my face was shimmering. If you like that sort of thing this is for you. I wish the foundation bottles come in 2x size too!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better then most high-end primers I LOVE this primer, it makes your skin glow healthy. Even under matte make up this is outstanding. I am not sure that this primer holds foundation in place ALL day, but 6 to 8 hours Yes. I will say I have very dry skin.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good in moderation I bought and used all over my face. I went out into the sun and my husband asked why I had glitter everywhere. So instead, I use the mineral infused primer all over and the illuminating on my cheekbones and cupids bow as a highlighter. I really like it and it's lasting forever!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Only for after dark I bought this to try to brighten my complexion over the upcoming winter, but it's just too peachy and sparkly. So here I am ordering the poreless primer again. I may save this one for use only after dark.

Does this contain glitter?

Asked by: Juditanudi1
Technically, no. When one thinks of glitter, the normal craft polyester glitters come to mind. But this product contains a mineral called "Mica", which comes in 37 different colours and is mined and recovered from the Earth in "sheets", since its Moh's Hardness scale varies by small margins (some Micas are much harder than others) and it comes off in literal flakes. It's from the family chemically known as "silicates" with a variety of chemical formulas. The seven most popular, however, give a shimmer with hues of purple, lapidolite, black biotite, brown phlogopite, and the one most commonly used in make-up products, Clear Muscovite which has a pearly sheen to it. Any time you see a product with the words "Illuminating", "reflective", or even "glow" (or some synonym thereof), you can be certain it will contain mica. It has a brilliant shimmer to it that is often mistaken for the polyester glitters, so no, it's entirely different. (I'm a scientist.) Cheers.

Does this primer work on tanned/dark skin tones? Because the peachy colour is kind of throwing me off buying it
