Additional Information

Matte Lip Color is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 1864.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good quality, but color wasn't what I expected. The quality is nice, but I just picked the wrong color. I thought I'd try it to see what happened, but it just drowned out my lips and skin. Might try a different color. It is long lasting but has a matte finish, so don't expect it to be glossy or blendy when you press your lips together. I'd purchase again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from very disappointed i ordered this in the tea rose color, expecting a "light, dusty pink" as it is marketed, but instead i got a lavender color that is not at all like the color shown on the website. the liquid lip color is the right color, but this one is not, and i am disappointed that i wasted my money on this product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Tea Rose I got this color as a gwp and I like the formula a lot and the texture feels good. I'm giving it 3 stars based only on the color Tea Rose. Should have been named 1960's Lavender. You would have to be very fair and into the matte pastel look if the 60's for this to be likable... even then, I don't know. It's just a terrible color.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Color! I bought this when it was 25% off. I had no plans of buying this when I went into store but when I saw it on sale, I had to give it a try. I must say that I love it. The color is fabulous. It applies very smooth and easily. It gives of a matte look but it doesn't feel like normal matte lipsticks. It almost feels like I have chapstick on my lips. It is very light and very easy to apply.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOOOOVE these, my go-to matte!! I have rea rose, praline, natural, and berry sorbet and I am obsessed with all of them! I have very dry lips no matter how much lip balms I use, and most matte lipsticks are just too drying for me but this is perfect. It has the matte look but feels a little more creamy on your lips, and still works well when layered over a little lipbalm. I don't wear much makeup class or to work so I can't vouch for daytime but it lasts on me all night, which is amazing because I hate lipsticks that you have to bring out with you to reapply. On my medium/light skin tone natural is a light nude pink, almost washes my lips out but is cute for a heavy eye look where you want a more toned down lip. Praline is a darker taupey pink, perfect is you're toying with slightly darker shades, and doesn't pull too warm/brown which I think can make teeth look yellow. Tea Rose is my absolute go to mauve. The color is beautiful on cool skin tones and the tone makes it almost a nude on me, so I can pair it with almost anything. Berry Sorbet is just as it sounds, a bright berry shade that is so cute for a night out! Def get these lipsticks! I will be ordering more colors soon :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tea Rose is a quest-ender! I have been using the Praline shade for awhile and am very pleased. Then I picked up Tea Rose and fell head over heels in love. I like a pale, cool lip with my muted cool complexion with green/gray undertones and many shades pull too warm on me. Tea Rose is perfect, and that's not hyperbole. I notice a lot of reviews saying it pulls ever-so-slightly lavender, and that it exactly what my skintone wants. I had a similar lipstick shade back in the 80s (yes, I am on the older end of the spectrum!), and have been trying to find a dupe for literally decades. Tea Rose ended that quest. (Fercryinoutloud, please always keep this color, e.l.f.!) As far as formula goes, I have no gripes - it is comfortable to wear, lasts reasonably well, and is nicely matte. Know this, though: the color just doesn't seem to grab on the lips if you have anything like a balm on your lips already - it just slides right over without depositing color. Minor issue for such a great lip color. The packaging is attractive, and the included shatpener is a thoughtful touch.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from smooth application I bought the gift set, 4 colors. I love them. They glide on very easily, the color is great. they don't dry too matte but aren't sticky either. they stay fairly well, no complaints there. plus they have a built in sharpener!

Do you plan on coming out with glossy finishes of these? I absolutely love these and I think also offering in a glass formula would be great sellers. I definitely would buy every color you would offer. These things are amazing.

I like the matte formula. However, I wish they have better packaging.

Are the colors represented here true to color??

Asked by: San D
No!! They all look very different from the boxes. Tea Rose is more purple than it looks and less light pink

What color do you recommend for a tan person, tea rose or praline?

Asked by: Jazmin2329
ELF Tea Rose in *my* experience isvery light- a pale silvery-pink . I had hoped for a nude/soft pink not pale pink)   It'd probably be  nice on a girl with "cool" undertones w/either dark *or* extremely light complexioned. I'm  fair-skinned with cool undertones myself, but  it barely  showed         ( just as something for you  to compare to).  So  I gave it to my daughter-in-law who has an  even lighter "red-head" complexion!  It might still look good on you of course, but as you  likely already suspected,  I bet  the Praline would be more "you" and would be lovely on you. :-)
