I did a side by side comparison
I have extremely dry skin so, hydrating products are a must for me. This new primer on it's own looked pretty similar to the OG but it did feel a bit more hydrating. It locks your makeup in place and you can still see the hydration peaking through even after powder. This is very comparable to the OG in my opinion.

I'm not sure if I recommend this one - I prefer without the niacidamine. I think this ingredient breaks me out. The next day after trying this I broke out all over. This might be great for someone who is not sensitive to this ingredient.

I love the inclusion of niacinamide! It still clings my makeup like the original, but it feels much more nourishing. I wanted to love this primer but it is just too sticky for me. My makeup looked fine over it, but I can’t get over the tacky feeling when applying it. I recommend the poreless putty primer for those who don’t like sticky primers.

Just as good as the OG
I used the normal powergrip before but this does the job just as well. Keeps my makeup on all day, feels hydrating and gives me the additional benefits if the niacinamide

from my experience, it can be used with any primer. just make sure that your foundation and concealer are both silicone-based if you use the putty primer, or your makeup might pill and look patchy.
