Shadow Lock Eyelid Primer is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 380.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not for sensitive eyes I didn't realize my eyes were so sensitive until about 5 minutes after. It irritated my eyes, felt like it was burning a little. I washed off the product immediately but the sensation is still there. Just be careful - if you don't have sensitivities to things, this could be pretty good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My favorite eyeshadow primer I've been using this eyeshadow primer for 7 or so years and I love it. Keeps my eyeshadow on all day long. Going to repurchase it again soon.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Nope I bought this now I know it's only three dollars. However, it's not worth it and there is barley any product in there.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice base for Shadow This is a great base for eye shadow. I didn't give it 5 stars because I didn't like having to shake it a good bit before squeezing out the product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Ok but could be better My lids get quite oily and this tends to do a bit better than UD primer potion or smashbox's primer (especially primer potion, I think), and I have bought it a couple times but the price seems to have gone from $2 to $3 so I would get one of elfs newer $4 primers instead of this or another drugstore primer. It does crease on me after several hours but often just toward the inner part of the eye for me. Might suit more "normal" lids better, but not necessarily dry ones. I'm not sure how many uses you get out of this but even a sample size primer in a squeeze tube would probably last much longer than this since you can't necessarily get all the product out of this and its a thin, hard plastic tube. It starts to get kind of dryer and harder to apply enough of after awhile and sometimes can look kind of chalky but not bad

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this primer I’ve tried multiple other brands including prestige brands and I keep coming back to this primer. Prevents eye shadow creases and keeps glitter shadows in place all day and night. I’ve been buying this for years now. Only thing I dislike is the tube shape... makes it difficult to fully use all of the product. Wish they’d change that, but still a customer for life.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not worth it this was the first eyeshadow primer that I have purchased as I am just now starting to get into make up. It apply easily yes but once you start to pack it into the eyelid, it just gets absorbed into the skin. It leaves a chalky residue on my eye lid. It does help the shadows pop out more but if youre into wanting one that has a nice texture then I do not recommend this

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it i really like this product, easy to use and does what it claims. doesnt irritate my lids and makes shadows pop and stay in place longer. i find its easier to blend with my fingers then with a brush and doesnt take long to blend or dry down. this is my first eye primer so im not sure if this is the best but definitely a good starter product or if your on a budget because it is amazing

Is this primer goes on matte or shimmery? I read some reviews that says glittery, so I want to ask people who has used it before: does it look glittery after it is dried?

Asked by: cathy45
The pearl Is a subtle glittery and I LOVE IT!!!  I’m using it now in place of my white eyeshadow!!

what is the purpose of the difference in the colors?

Asked by: YAMAKEUPGURL
I'm assuming the different shades are meant for different skin tones. Sheer, tan, and cocoa are probably for light, medium, and darker skin tones and meant to be used as a primer base that would match the skin, probably good for lighter more natural eyeshadows and the pearl which is white would help to make other more unnatural colors pop but pearl could also be used for all colors of course. But some people may want to use a primer that matches their skin

Do any of the shads tint your eyelid?

Asked by: helen366
I've only used the sheer one and it won't interfere with any shadow if you give it some seconds to dry

I don't know whether i should get sheer or pearl, which one works best for pale skin?

Asked by: Freya G
I've only tried the sheer in this product. Personal I think it still had some creaseing to it. I'm also very pale but could almost use it for eye concelor. My thing is it still had a crease. Also I think all the eyeshadow faded just as fast as before almost .but I've only tried sheer .i love elf products and services and use lots of them I believe in a true review.
